I just got a Lola Champ Car for a decent price of $70 bucks shipping included. Will be used to make Michele Jordain Jr.s 2003 car. Want to get the new Porsche 919 Hybrid and Audi e-tron Le Mans cars that Spark made. They look really good!

Well, I got a 1/20 MPC Turbine glue bomb from ePay for cheap (under $20). Except for 1 mirror, it appears to be complete. Plus so little glue had been used it's virtually coming apart in my hands. :=)
And I just received my Bryan Clauson Indiana Double t-shirt. Not a model but it tells you where my heart is.

After watching Lemans this year I've been really in a sportycar mood lately......IMO Lemans is the best its been in years! Finally the competition of the late 80's is maybe coming back! The technology on the P1 cars is very interesting to me. I keep on kicking around the idea of getting the 1/24 Porsche 919 Hybrid Studio 27 kit....but the price always makes me shake!

Picked up a 1/24th Merit Cooper 500 Mk IX at an antique mall two weeks ago! All in the box, all parts on the trees and accounted for! Set me back seven US dollars! Love to go Antiquing with the wife! --Frank

Do it!!! Would love to see a WIP of that build! I want to build another model kit but don't know if I have that skill set in me anymore. After I get rich from selling 1/64 bumpers to MicroMachine I'll have enough money to buy one! I think you are more than capable to build a multimedia kit...... I know you do great paint jobs so I know thats not an issue. Resin kits are mainly a lot of prep work.....just test fit, sand, fill and clean....On a high dollar resin kit all the parts should be close to fitting (most of the time) and its just a matter of prep work.

Not model related, but I bought a Go-Pro to record the !@$% that try to run me over when I'm on my bicycle in a crosswalk. (happened three times in the last 9 months - last time the guy DELIBERATELY tried to hit me). Since I ride my bike to the post office to drop-off orders, it is somewhat related I guess

Whoops! I kinda geeked out and got several model kits today! I've been in a sportscar GT racing mood and got 3 McLarens and 1 Lamborghini....along with Replacement wing and smoking cowboys for the Short tail to turn into the 1996 BPR Zhuhai F1-GTR , and for the MP4-12C Photoetch parts, Carbon Fiber decals, and 2014 Gulf oil Macau GP decals.... I got a good price on all of them! The Aoshima Lambo kit is very impressive IMO - it is loaded with parts! (Big thick 1/24 box)

From The Fells to Ferrari, The Official Biography of Cliff Allison by Graham Gauld, forward by Dan Gurney
My Two Lives, Race Driver to Restaurateur by Rene Dreyfus, forward by Walter Cronkite (I have been looking for this book FOREVER. Got a good deal on it as well.)
Bought two new copies of Clymer Yearbooks to replace my beaters. 1950 and 1956.
The Allison book is good from the point as he was one of the first Lotus employee's. Colin was still driving at the time. Cliff's front line career took a turn for the worse following an accident at Monaco in 1960. It's a great edition to my library and I remember reading a book review of it when it came out. It was a good price so I got it.
Rene's book I have yet to read, it is in mint condition and I got it off a Frenchman. This vintage event at IMS is really a neat event. No pressure, plenty of access and vendors. What's not to like?
Oh, I also got two Lotus 38's from Lance and one on back order. Scoops removed today and two kit's primed. I am building three at one time as I had bought one off him years ago. If anyone can point me to a photo storage place that will accept dummies I could start posting pictures of my builds.
I have completed this year the Thompson Roller Skate, The 1980 Theodore Eagle and a 1986 7-11 March of Kevin Cogan.
I have two '83 Lola's in progress, and two 1960's Watson's going as well.
It's hot here in Indy, and the pool and yard take up some time.

I like the imgur photo site, but I'm not qualified to teach anybody anything about computers. My go to guy for anything technical is Calvin.

Look at what I got today! A Huge Thanks to Chris (sadler21) for doing these 3D honda and chevy bumpers, and chevy front wing! They are awesome! They will make my build up of the new aero kits 100 times easier and get done way faster! This is a huge motivational boost for me to get the news cars done!

After attending the Porsche Rennesport I had to find a 917. Managed to get a great deal on the Fujimi '70 Le Mans winner.
Also got Revell's remake of the BRE 240Z (to go with the 510). I had a 510 back in '72 and drove it to RA to watch the F5000 and T/A 2.5 races. The 510s took no prisoners.

A funny, stupid purchase...got on line and bought $40+ worth of Michael's decals Saturday...didn't get a confirmation from PayPal, and it was still in the cart, so I hit "buy" again...long story short, email wasn't working properly so I bought FIVE SETS! Michael finally got a hold of me, and he's like "what are you doing? Mass production?"...it is so great being a high tech moron...thanks for your patience Michael...like my sons, you are doomed to be dealing with an old geezer.... Tim PS: Don't know what effect PayPal's crashing had...STILL no confirming emails from them...anybody else? TJ

If they were, it went through. You might want to check with your email provider as you also were not getting my emails until I replied to yours.

I used 5-min epoxy to attach the metal parts and it is still a strong bond. An easy build for a Cobrafile...just a bit more confusing for a Ferraristi! The interior fit was the most difficult fit! Just to be different I did the Filipenetti car. Just to be different!" Patrick

Well I have been busy since getting into the 1:43 world. I have bought 4 Sparks cars. (Foyt 67, B. Unser 68, Hill & Stewart 66). These cars are fantastic. Also bought a Wilbur Shaw 1940 Maserati (Brumm) and several Onyx cars. Also bought several kits from Paul (63 Lotus, 64 Lotus, 65 Lotus & 68 Lotus. Several months ago I bought a case of 92-94 Lolas that were suposed to be 1:64 but as it turns out they are closer to 1:43.

Not modeling but I got this 1:1 scale Rick Mears Edition Snap-On toolbox today. I believe this box was made in the mid-80's so even though it is not perfect, it is still in really good shape for about 30 years old - some wear and a missing hinge. Price was a blessing. Glad no one on Craigslist picked it up before I could. Been waiting over a decade to find a nice one and finally got it. Only bad part is it will be a month before I get it home. Jordan
