Look at what I got today! Wow! a 1999 Dallara from American Racing Miniatures! (ARM) americanracingminiatures.com/This thing is incredible! The resin is incredible! The packaging is incredible! The instructions are now in color! What a professional effort! Funny enough it even smells brand new - kinda like a brand new plastic injection kit....it has a ZERO resin smell! All I can say is, buy with confidence!

Model kits? Bought a couple of Lightnings off Kevin. Have one ready to shoot. Went to hobby shop today with Lance and spent fifty eight bucks on Paint and supplies.
I just moved. Area rugs, washer and dryer, 55" hi def Television. Two paintings on canvas. One large metal wall art piece. One large framed piece of art which is matted in several depths. It's cool and matches my living room. Bought five CD racks. Several items to keep the cats busy.
Moving is quite a chore. Sometimes I wish things had turned out different

It is the Etzel. That was probably my most enjoyable build to date.
By the way. I apologize for the quality of the picture. The colors really washed out.

Got to love that postman. He brings me all sorts of good stuff. These are from Big Donkey Resin. Sprinter on the left, Champ car on the right. The resin is beautiful. No plans for these yet but suggestions are welcome. kip

I got some more hydroplane kits today! I love these big bad A$$ boats. I have a good base knowledge of the history of most major forms of Motorsports and at the time Unlimited Hydroplane racing had some of the most horse power and one of more dangerous forms of racing. 1955 U-60 Miss Thriftway of Washington State 1956 U-8 Hawaii Kai III 1976 U-76 Atlas Van Lines I'll have to do more wood decal work on this one! and if you want an education on Unlimited Hydroplane history feel free to contact me!

well i'm jealous calvin! duane Me too! LOL! All I can say is, looks like more wood decal work for myself! Slo-Mo IV is really going to be tricky! Plus it has the non-slip red surface! It will be one heck of a challenging build....I wonder if "the Machine" can pull it off?

Don't hurt your arm patting yourself on the back!
Oh, and I bought a Hamilton Ventura. An electric incense burner and some black thigh high boots for my girlfriend. I also bought 40 pounds of dog food, sixty gallons of gas and six wiper blades for two Mini Coopers. Since Thursday.

Duane, when we talked last on the phone you told me you remember the Pay N Pak boat crashing in front of you during one of the races that you attended at the Miami Marine Stadium....since then I figured out which race that was! It was the 1971 Champion Spark Plug Regatta - Heat 1B were Bill Schumacher got injured when the Pride of Pay N' Pak lost a rudder.... So now you can put a date with the memory you have! Photo from: paynpak.blogspot.com/this boat in person was just gorgeous to look at as a kid. to see it spin out and send the driver parachuting across the water was frightening. fortunately the boat went up on shore just past the fence that kept people from going down towards the first turn. a few feet sooner and it would have been catastrophic. thanks for the memories calvin. and great detail on the figure lance. i don't know how you guys make those figures look so life like. duane

I know these are horrible pics, but... All are 1/24th scale armor kits from Kit Form Services. It is all British armor, but the FV432 and FV701 will be in UN markings when I get to building them. These are truly awesome an huge kits.

Yep they are resin.....for some reason I forget this is the internet LOL! They do have several parts in white metal as well and a bunch of photoetch. My only, and again, my only complaint is that the tires aren't the soft rubber resin. I can deal with that though. Gonna have to learn how to weather.

My only, and again, my only complaint is that the tires aren't the soft rubber resin. Well, with the new line of Tamiya Rubber paint they will look just as good.....but IMO I dont always think rubber tires are necessary the best as they will over time dry out and rot or I even heard stories of some rubber tires eating into the bottom of display cases.....I even damaged my 1988 Domino's indycar by accidently letting one of my other AMT kits rubber tires touch the side pod and it ate the paint off!

I always prefer solid resin tires as they are easier to work wtih, plus I honestly don't see the point of having real rubber tires when resin can be made to look more like rubber than real rubber. And as Calvin noted, they are more stable over long periods of time than rubber tires.
