A SURTEES? Please NOT 1/20! I had to live down the sponsorship for John's team (and I know you must be joking anyway).

I'm still mystified as to how the fuel/air mixture got to cylinders 1 and 6.
Thanks for posting that article. Kit detailers will love it.

I believe the cylinder heads had internal channels. Getting the mixture to the cylinders was the object, then. Getting the mixture to the cylinders smoothly became the priority not much later (this was a stock-block, after all).
Will the DUREX car only be sold to those over 18? --Frank

We are getting down to the wire with this! If you remember the flyers I put out in may that said "Arriving 2015... we hope"... it looks like we are going to meet that! However, due to storms in the NW, there has been a production delay, but we are hoping it won't delay the release, which I am currently targeting for December 18. The price will be $175. Kit will include resin parts, 3d printed parts, aluminum tubing, metal rods (steering column/mirror supports), decals and vinyl straps. Since we are doing a limited first release of 20 kits, the first 20 will be numbered. Production of the kit will NOT be limited over time, but only the first 20 will be indicated with "1st release #____/20". To give everyone a chance at kit #1, #1 will be listed for auction on eBay one week prior to release. All other numbers will be issued in order of payment received. Here is a rough mockup of the box art.

Michael, this looks really nice! I have been following this thread and all I can say in congratulations on all this work. It no doubt has paid off. Checking on the threads (and I don't check this era that much) I know it was a joint effort with Calvin doing the casting work, correct?
Like I have said before, There has never been a better time to be a builder of 1/25 scale open wheel race cars. Never in my wildest dreams did I envision this many subjects! In the early 90's struggling along with those AMT kits and finding out about Fred Cady, then Bill J. and onto Lance. The rapid progression that has taken place in 25 years, well, it just makes me happy for some reason. Having a room in my home that rivals any Hobby Shop I went into as a kid is such a neat thing for me personally. My friends think I am crazy!
Keep up the good work!
Bravo!
Hubie

Love the 4 view graphic, Michael. Very nice! Patrick Thank you. I designed it so that the drawings are the same size as the actual model. ... I just hope I can fit everything in the boxes I ordered, LOL.

Still working on it, but here's a preview of the 20 page instruction booklet. Note, this will only be provided electronically - printing this out would add about $10 to the cost of the kit, and wouldn't fit in the box anyway. www.indycals.net/wasp/waspinstructions.pdf

I will eventually get one of these, it looks amazing. I noticed on the photos of the actual car that the outer rings on the wheels are black, while your build up has yellow rings. Yay or nay on the black?

But eye don't have eh Komputer!?!?!? Thankfully all of those people also do not have a computer to post on here to complain that they do not have a computer to download pdf instructions. The great thing about PDF instructions is they can be updated/improved as time goes on if needed. Jordan

Yay or nay on the black? John You're looking at the restored car. Photos from 1911 show the rims to be the same as the rest of the wheel

I should have known, you never miss. It's interesting how many times the restorations are wrong. Thanks Michael.
