It looks too nice, try making it look like a model and not the real car.

Awsome job on the body fit and finish Chris. And some great detailint tips on the turbo plumbing, you are not kidding about the "jewl like" engine. Yes Cats and models don't mix! they have NO Respect for our hard work.
My Tip for the day, I have used 1/8" aluminum welding rod for the turbo intake crossover tube with good success.
Can't wait to see your masterpiece completed.

Thanks John, thats exactly what I made one out of about a month ago..it came out nice but I made it from 1 piece and it has a lot of bends in it, I might re-do it as a multi piece part using hoses and clamps like the intake runners. I have pics of it both ways so I will see what fits better. Thanks for the tip, I use a lot of aluminum rod.. Chris

Hey Chris, Check this out. Today I was passing through Perris, CA and need some gas. So I pull into the "largest ARCO station in the world" to get filled up and take a pit stop. As I'm making my way through the building, I walk past this display below where they had a bunch of pictures mounted on some square columns, and the one on the far left catches my eye. Upon closer inspection, I realize that it looks an awful lot like your car! Looks like an Offy in there to me! Of course, the description on the photo on the lower left is completely wrong. They stated it was Mario's 69 winning car, and we all know that's not true! Anyway, I thought it was a pretty cool coincidence... -Art

OK, I have been very busy, I will first Apologize for the pics, I didn't feel like getting out the Cannon so I used my little digital. Here is what I have added, scratchbuilt master and clutch cylinders, front suspension (detailed) I finished the rotors, scratchbuilt a fuel pump, made a fuel block and put it on, installed the pedals, and throttle cable as well as the rods to the master and clutch cylinder. installed the front and rear axles after adding drain plugs. I cleaned up and painted the tires 2 colors, the tread being a custom mix. I did put on the Firestone gold stripes and lettering but when I put solvaset on them the rings went out of round and looked like crap so I pulled them off and tried another manufactures set and they were horrible so I pulled those off and will settle for just lettering. I dull coated the wheels and painted the centers black and added valve stems( little suckers) those you will see next post as well as the handmade shocks. There are probably a half dozen other goodies I did but I cant remember right now. So Enjoy and look for the car to be done in the next 2 weeks as the show approaches...Chris
