Back from Nats and in recovery mode. Weeks of anticipation and it's over in a flash. Spent a lot of money in the vendor room despite being on a short leash to our ARM tables. Got to do a few fast runs through the contest room. Without a doubt, Andy's Watson was one of the best models in the room and should have received Best Automotive. Agree with Bobby, it was better in person than in the photos and the WIP photos were really good. I am sure the judges had a hard time deciding between the Watson and the conjectural Karmann Ghia racer that won Best... Also saw some great model cars by Andy Sapiro. Not sure if he is on our Forum, but he should be. At one point as I was running down the tables I bumped into Andy Caldwell and Andy Sapiro chatting together. Two great modelers amicably exchanging notes. But the best part is always the friendships renewed there every year. I hope we can do it again next year in Omaha. Thanks for the compliments glad you like my roadster. But I was really glad for my friend Dirk who built that beautiful customized Karman Ghia (He also built that stunning Drag Bike). As for Andy Saprio that was the first time I got to meet him and we had lengthy conversations about model building during and after the show and his builds were just beautiful! |

It's been awhile but went and checked back on this post and lo and behold I can see the photo's again (PB made the photos not view able awhile ago) Can you all see the photo's again? What changed? Because I did nothing....
