LOL! Its been a VERY busy but fun last couple weeks with Camping, family activities, hydroplane races, and airshow.. I've finally got around to looking thru my hydroplane pics that I took a couple weekends ago at the Tri-Cities for the Columbia cup. Here is a few of my favorites so far... Sorry for the shaky camera work. I was using my 400mm lens and it's almost impossible to keep that long lens study. I need to get a proper camcorder for next year. |

I went to the World of Speed in Wilsonville OR a week ago Monday and saw this. It's not too far from you Calvin, maybe you can visit one day.  They have some cars there too.  There was some Indycar guy there named Rossi or something who gave a speech, I wasn't really listening. |

I went to the World of Speed in Wilsonville OR a week ago Monday and saw this. It's not too far from you Calvin, maybe you can visit one day. They must be borrowing it from the Hydro Museum as its usually there. LOL. Kinda close, but 9 hours away is kind of a long way for me! BTW here is more picture I took last Friday. Calvin...you sure took some GREAT pictures. The second boat from the bottom is really cool. You captured the huge wall of water(the rooster tail) in the turn and it shows how many directions that water goes in. Great SHOT!

The 2023 Columbia Cup is being streamed live all weekend. The most popular Hydroplane race in the world. I wished I was there...
Vintage boats are coming up...
A lot of new drivers this year and its been crazy racing this year...
