Art,
I have two of these kits and you are showing me the way! Almost like a private tutor.
I used to watch these ground pounders at Road America with my father back in the day, Great memories!!!
It was a interesting time to see many popular Indy Car drivers at the helm in the pre modern day Indy Car Road Race/ Street curcuits. Those who were know for their oval prowess where very impressive turning right as well!
Great series! Simpler times.
Keep showing us the way Art.
Many thanks!!!!

Jimmy "RASS" Jimmy, thanks so much for following along. I really love these cars. I saw them run when I was pretty young, and to me they were like road course sprint cars.

That looks great, and again, I've learned some things. Is that semi gloss black or a graphite color on the bell housing and trans? In reference to Duane's comment on the plumbing, I'm sure you'll leave me in a cloud of dust on that deal.

Duane, aint that the truth!
John, for the gearbox paint, I mixed some Testors Exhaust Metalizer with semi-gloss black. I don't know what the ratio was, as I just eye-balled it, but it was mostly the metalizer.

Amazing!
I wouldn't have the patience to mask all that off....the old yucky crusty paint brush would be coming out before that!

Friday I saw your car in the paddock. It didn't do qualifying during the day and I just realized I didn't take any photos! Duh!! Patrick

Man, I wish I could have been there, Patrick! Don't worry about the pics. The less references, the more liberties I get to take!

Art, I hope you do a WIP on the Eagle, that one is going to take some creativity.

John, I will do a WIP, but that one is going to take some committment!!! I'll probably follow Kevin's lead and just use the MPC Eagle donor kit. There aren't a lot of references, so I won't be too worried about accuracy on that one.

I'm still making progress on this one, a little at a time. Actually, I have a lot of time in the body prep, but not a lot to show there yet. But here are some random photos of some work. Drilled out some openings for seat belts. I also drilled a hole on the body in an inconspicuous place and inserted a wooden dowel to hold it for painting. The only calipers I had that might work for the rear are not quite the right shape, so I reshaped them a little. This one is still a little rough in this shot.
