More progress is made, the engine is installed, along with the radiator housing. The belly pan is on, with the pedals. The body is pretty much finished, there is a steering gear hidden in there. Take Care Craig

Very nice! I like the way you did the firewall. I may have mine in backwards, but it's too late now!! It seemed to fit better that way, but I'm not so sure now. The next one will be a lot easier, I'm sure!

I don't know about the firewall, Bobby. One of the photos I saw seemed to have it that way. If you install it the way I did, you will have to trim a bit to fit the frame crossmember. I thought the 2 holes in the firewall might be for the mag wires, and the tach drive, and they line up better this way. Again, your guess is as good as mine. You are right, a second build is always much easier than the first, but I'm ready to move on. My next Miller will be one of Tom, and Ed's rear drives. I want the black and gold Meyer car. More progress. I don't know about everyone else, but I get to a point on any project when I just want to be finished, and move on to the next one. I'm almost to that point on this build. I'm thinking more about the next one than this one. Take Care Craig

One of these complicated models built could have been a fluke, but two proves it really can be done! Nice work, both of you!

Thanks guys, don't misunderstand me,I will finish the car. My problem is that sometimes, at this stage,I want to finish the build and move on, so I tend to rush things. Case in point are the hood straps, I just stuck them on. I don't like the way they look, and I know I can do better. So now I get to peel them off, and do it again. The quality of this kit is too good to rush through with sloppy work. I can't work on 2 builds at a time, so this one has to be finished before I start the next.

The end is in sight. Cars always look better on the wheels. The part I was least looking forward to, the rear suspension worked out better than I had hoped. Still some more work to do. I promise, no more photos until it is finished. Take Care Craig

These builds are beautiful and have opened my eyes to Indy cars I would not have considered building before, I was too locked in to the timeframe of '65 to present, which is from when I went to my first TT. The stories you guys tell related to these builds are wonderful and your talents are amazing and inspiring!

Great builds, both of them! I'm jealous of you guys that have the time to build these intricate masterpieces. I'm 54 and racing again for the first time in 30+ years, that and our house project just eat up all my free time. Hopefully, someday, life will slow down enough to get to some of these "must" builds. Anyone that can and does build ANYTHING, please post pics if you are able, they are much appreciated!

Fantastic stuff! I might have to talk you out of retirement and hire you to build some of my models..... I don't think so, Calvin. You know my motto, Old, Slow, and Lazy. As much hassle as you give me now, I can't imagine you as my boss . Plus, it's almost Golf season, and the people who make balls depend on me to keep them in business during the season.

Just think we could have our own reality show on TLC. Were I'm your boss and you build my models under a fake reality show time crunch.

Well, I finally ran out of parts, so it must be finished. One more little job to do, but I don't have any 1/32 inch tape (Bobby knows what I,m talking about). It is almost a shame to cover up that engine This is what I was going for and this is what I ended up with My build certainly does not compare with the one Bobby did, in both quality and build speed, but I am pleased with it. An average modeler can build this kit. Take your time, look at as many photos as you can, and be careful with all the tiny parts. You will say bad words, and cuss at Harold, but in the end you will be glad you did it. Take Care Craig

I think you both did a beautiful job on these. I got my kit last week and have to say the work Harold did on these is outstanding. I just hope I can do as well on it as you both did. It may be a while with what I am already working on I can't think about starting another one but can't wait to do this one. Once again very nice work!!

Gorgeous!!! Really enjoyed watching these builds, I have a new favorite Indy car that joins a long list of other favorites! Just showed my daughter these pictures since I have hauled her to Indy over her childhood, she enjoyed and appreciated how beautiful this car is! Great job gentlemen and thanks for sharing the pictures!
