Thanks so much for sharing the WIP and completing this special car. I read the articles about when these cars were found in Europe buried under stuff and covered with dust. Can you imagine this car at Indy? So fast and ahead of its time. The original was a work of art and so are these. Jim

Craig: Beautiful job! It looks very realistic...I believe you are like most of us...the builder sees only mistakes and problems: the rest of us just see a fantastic job... Did Gurney's grandad drive this thing?...and for all you "whipper-snappers", Craig did NOT see this car race...he and I were chasing women that weekend...just wanted to clear things up! Tim

I hate to rain on your parade, Calvin, but my first hot horseless carrage, was a '65 Mustang GT. Like I have said before, if you are real lucky, someday you will be as old as Tim and I are. In many respects, getting older sucks, but it sure as hell beats the other alternative. Those were the days, Tim. Now, even if I caught one I would not know what to do with it.

Craig: I think you did an outstanding job on your Packard Cable! If you need some of that 1/32 tape, email me your address and I'll mail a roll out to you. Let me know, Bro!!

Thanks, Bobby, that means a lot to me, coming from you. I did get some tape, but did not post a photo. I know you guys don't know what we are talking about. If you look closely at Bobby's build you can see that he replicated the felt rub strip under the hood on the body and radiator shell with 1/32 tape painted leather color.Just one example of the detail he put into the build. Keep posting your builds, Bobby, they are a real joy to me. Take Care Craig

This is a very nice model build of a very attractive car.
Are there any detailed plans available of this vehicle? This would make a fantastic subject for a scratch build in either 1/12th of 1/16th scale.

Lovely model and such an eye catching colour scheme.
Hmmm! Making me think about my next 1/12 scale scratch build project?
