It's tempting with the Coyote as I bought one years ago and never got all the parts! I believe I will come across the white metal parts in the future as I think Rick has the "masters" or "rights"
These are very fair prices

Mom and I went to Bellevue, WA (Seattle) this weekend for another Doctors appointment. Everything went good and I also got some interesting shots of downtown Bellevue and the nightlife. Here is my mugshot - to prove I really did make it. These shots were very close to our Motel, which made it easy for me to get out and do. Anytime I get a chance I love to take nighttime shots of cities.

Nice shots Calvin. Sorry we can't meet up this weekend for the IPMS Seattle Spring Show in Renton. Looking forward to getting back to the Hydroplane Museum. Plus hobby shops and high end car dealerships. Plus whatever they have on display at Griots. Paul Erlendson

It looks like your new buildings, in the background, are coming along very well! Which one is the new resin-casting center? --Frank

I got a kick out of this! When we took off to Seattle...right when we were going by the Air force base, I looked up and saw a F18 coming towards us....and like usual I had the camera all ready to go with the telephoto lens on and rolled down the window while we were going 70mph and held down, focused, and clicked and got it! I was pretty excited.

What's that under your feet in the first photo? A flight line?

Im sure Michael will have a way better picture....but Here is my version of the 90% Solar Eclipse from Spokane. It was actually pretty easy to photograph. I didn't knock myself out too much as 90% isn't the most spectacular compared to the many other right now getting a complete eclipse.

Looks great, Calvin. We only got over 80% here, nothing too great from what I could see. Our last home was in the Totality zone, so our friends had a very awesome view!

Despite all my preparation that included a few dozen 'dry runs', I failed to come away with any pics of totality That said.... Had I gotten pictures, I probably would have been disappointed because quite frankly I could never have processed them to replicate what I saw. No photograph ever taken has done a total eclipse justice. It is far more spectacular than you can imagine. I new it would be incredible and it still exceeded my expectations.

"If you think you're beaten; you are. If you think you dare not; you don't. If you'd like to win but think you can't, it's almost a cinch you won't. If you think you'll lose, you've lost. For out in the world we find success if in a person’s will, it’s all a state of mind. Life’s bitter battles don’t always go to the stronger or faster man; but often times the one who wins is the one who thinks he can.” - Sid Collin

No photograph ever taken has done a total eclipse justice. It is far more spectacular than you can imagine. I new it would be incredible and it still exceeded my expectations. I can only agree. I have seen nothing in my life as amazing or as breathtaking as what my family and I were blessed to see Monday. The two minutes and change of totality passed all too quickly. I'd been wanting to see one all my life and now I understand why people get so excited about them. Many years ago I read a piece of advice about attending a Space Shuttle launch: if it's your first, don't think about photography. There will be plenty of photos of the launch available afterwards, and they'll be much better than yours. Instead, let yourself enjoy the spectacle and the experience. That was in the back of my mind Monday. I didn't even bother with photography because I wanted to enjoy what I saw - and no photos I could have taken will ever match the pictures I'll carry in my head the rest of my days. Jodie Peeler

I was pretty excited today as I got the mail. A box with the 1/24th scale Monogram Mercedes Benz 300SLR had arrived! EBay purchase. Calvin probably has an idea of what I have in mind for the kit. This is what was in the box. Paul Erlendson

This is what was in the box. Paul Erlendson yeah, I do know what you might be doing with the Mercedes. But I'm mostly wondering how the WIP is going to go with your new Furby? I think you might need to get another one to make this one you got more accurate....see, the thing of it is, you got the newer made in China version (Not as accurate as the older original made in Taiwan versions of 1999 to 2000) The ears and eyes are supposed to be 1.098" apart, the one you got is WRONG its 1.096" apart. As I look into the history of the Furby I also realized you might need to dye the colour of the fur more to a flat black and not a semi-gloss. I found an accurate blueprint for a good reference for your overhaul of black Furby Then you need to make sure you use original Ultrafire AA batteries....they started putting Maxwell and Duracell AA's in and that's just not accurate! and I simply DONT LIKE THE NEW FURBYS! The old ones had the motor up front where all real Furbys should have them! None of this motor in the rear crap! The old days are better!

Thanks for your thoughts Calvin. You are correct overall, but I’m doing the early test version and there are differences. The dimensions of the eyes and ears width wise are correct, but the version I’m doing has the left ear lower as they were testing that configuration for left turns. Also there was some silver gray in the black to conceal the overall shape. That paint code was PPG BS2000 Anthracite. Also an orange beak and pink tongue. Also, I like the more modern mid-engine versions and I’m a Duracell guy, as I get all my batteries from Costco.

With the new Indycar windscreen we now have a use for the old (thick) AMT Lotus windscreen! We could send all of our old ones to Calvin for his soon to be announced 2018 Indy winner kit! Michael will need to guess who will win ahead of time, or make 20-30 decal sets to cover his azzz... Tim

Calvin’s working on the new car..I feel for you my friend, those masters are a bunch of work...as I said before, long after most of us are gone, Calvin will have every Indy winner on his site, plus a slew of important Indy cars...he will even have the 2038 Winner which will be Dan Gurney’s great grandson!...he will also model Newgarden’s fifth Indy 500 winner from 2035! Enough dreaming on a rainy day, Tim

We appreciate your service! Tim

Congrats on the command! Thats big time stuff! Good on him! My step father was a full bird col. I know of the dedication and commitment Alwaysindy speaks of. Wasnt paying attention to this thread. I am now. Love the Thunderbirds 8 days a week. Jealous Chaparral2k got THAT close to an Eagle. That will make your day. Possibly the greatest war bird ever made. But thats just a humble opinion. Anyway, big time props on the command.

AND! Last week I went to down to central Washington and saw the Palouse Falls. It felt great, it was 90 degrees and I took my time enjoying nature. Just like Michael P. I was "Dancing with ledges" I kinda laugh as a lot of people think Washington State is nothing but rain and evergreens. But the fact is, its a bunch of desert. LOL I also made a goofy video (feel free to poke fun at me or it )
