Today I'm casting parts for the 1984 March reissue. Also Today I got the Duke video 1970 and 1978 Formula one season review dvd's which completes my collection of that particular library of DVDs. Last night I got a good deal on a Tamiya Ferrari 312T3 and Renualt RE30 on ebay. I was also looking at my junky Tamiya Brabahm BT50 and I thinking about redoing it into a BT49 with Michael's decals www.indycals.net/decals/f1/81brabhambt49.htmlThis is kinda silly but I've also been day dreaming of getting the Studio 27 Ligier js5 the big tea pot! But I dont have the money right now. Its such a stupid design, thats why I want it!

I love the JS5's over the top design. I'm slowly scratch building one. I don't know why but I'm a scale bigot so I won't accept 1/20.

Looked into something interesting. I live in a near west suburb of Chicago. Only 4 blocks from my house is where another IMS could have been. Wow! That's pretty wild.....its always interesting to learn about the history of persons surroundings.

I always wonder what the heck was the designers at Ligier thinking with that gorilla of an air box, with all the drag and surface friction! They must have been smoking too many Gitanes.

Those board tracks were wild. Read Wilbur Shaw's book, where he talks about getting his arms full of splinters during a race, and the holes from rotted boards where fans would stick their heads up thru the holes to get an up close look at the cars, during the race. Kinda like some of the Rally fans you see today. Take Care Craig

I'm trying to finish a speedway version of Kanaan's winner, a roadcourse version of his car, 3 STP wildcats, Rutherford's Chaparral, and waiting for my new supply of March's and a new supply of Dallara''s.

Came home to no heat tonight and it's 5 degrees outside! Thank goodness it was an easy fix and the house is warming up. I did received by DW-12 in the mail today and it looks amazing.

I learned something interesting. Did you know that Wilbur Shaw test drove the 1952 Cummins Spl. ? I did not know that. But I did know that in October 1974 - 10 years before his Indy 500 debut - Emerson Fittipaldi tested his 'team mate' Johnny Rutherford's 1974 Indy winner at IMS Also, at the memorabilia show last week I found out that Emmo's helmet was not black with dayglo red. It was deep metallic blue - slightly toward purple in hue. One of the vendors had a race-worn helmet from 1974. Much darker than his revised 80's helmet. Much prettier in person than depicted in photos, where it just looks black.

Our local NBC station must have really screwed up or something because in the last mins of their State of the Union time slot they had of all things a Bobby Unser interview that came on before State of the Union was over!?!?! Yeah, it was strange! Some guy was interviewing Bobby in some Motel room and he was talking about his win in 1968 and then right at 8:00 it cut off and the Biggest loser came on already in progress! LOL I kinda wonder if Bobby thinks he is the president sometimes.

Did you know that AJ Foyt drove for Smokey Yunick for two Nascar races in 1963 - Atlanta and Firecracker 400. I didn't know this....I thought that would have been an unlikely combination?

A pre-Indy Johnny Rutherford drove the Yunick mystery motor Chevy in the Daytona 500 and was on the pole. I did not know that A.J. drove that car too. He wasn't as unfriendly in 63.
I also know today is Valentine's day. I must get out my Thompson and clean it up and oil it. Oh wait, I don't have a Thompson! Must have been another era. Nowadays you give gifts on Valentines day. Pretty soon we'll be exchanging gifts on all of the holidays. I want a new job for Labor Day...or any job...retirement is expensive!

Apparently my employer (thanks to acquisition) is an F1 sponsor with Williams. Which gives me a flicker of hope of getting them to fund my entry for the Wheldon Memorial race at New castle next fall A man can dream, right?

Is procrastinating a profession, because that's all I seem able to do on the '96 Phoenix DVD My area at Passport Health, which Experian acquired, handles medical insurance information. We handle connections with hundreds of companies so the individual hospitals and clinics don't have to. Then I'm talking to hospitals and figuring out how to make the info more legible, as well as answering/triaging any other issues they're encountering. So it's customer support, research, and dev all in one role.
