you all have a better chance of winning the lottery than ever guessing what kit I'm doing. It's such a wild and crazy idea, I'm even wondering if I made a HUGE mistake doing it.....but it's looking GREAT If I ever have any kind of legacy in the hobby, then this will be what Im remember for (Good or bad)

1/25 scale model of the Speedway, circa 1951. LOL! That would be HUGE! Maybe 1/25000000 scale would fit in any home?

Hi Calvin Is this why we have not seen Lances 65 Foyt car that some of us have paid for. If it is I'll buy one from you. Ralph

The 65 Foyt car is in the rubber but is still has a way to go (metal parts, decals and instructions). Any one not happy about how long this is taking (and I do not blame you) can ask for and will receive a refund. This is my last kit and every one who has paid for one will receive it, no one will be screwed out of their money.

no one is even remotely close.
I'll give a clue. I had to completely scratch build the engine - no plastic kit copies....I also had to build the tires from scratch too which was quite the processes. ...well I had to scratch build the whole car, almost.
no one will know until I pull that cover off.
I'm just worried if I completely overdid my wild idea....the car looks GREAT but I really don't know what people will think as its a pretty extreme resin idea for our hobby.

Even if you don't want to buy one - trust me....all this guessing and wondering on this thread will be worth it...it will be very entertaining.
and I totally won't expect everyone to buy this kit...Im so familiar with everyone's likes and dislikes, I already know who won't...but curious to see how many actually would buy it....LOL
Honestly, this might be a once in a lifetime opportunity..... as we all know I try my best to always keep kits in production, but this one may be different...it could very well be a one time offer(?)

Easy peasy! It's the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile!

Calvin
The Weinermobile will need New England Hot Dog rolls to be correct.
To Lance thank you for the information. Ralph

He has tires that would work for that. Likewise the Smoky Sidecar wouldn't need a scratchbuilt engine or tires. The Superwedge and Lotus 64 would in theory use my turbine tires Pretty much nothing from the 70s would need scratchbuilt tires I'm guessing the engine is exposed or partially exposed, thus the need for scratch building it. Mickey Thompson cars in the era would need scratch built tires, but Lance already did the 63 cars and the 64 car had a Ford DOHC engine and wouldn't need scratch building.

Huffaker dual Porsche engine contraption? I don't think that meets the tire criteria, but that's the best guess in this thread IMO.

The only cars I can think of with odd tires are the turbines, the MT cars and the Lotus 34's of 1964 with the disintegrating Dunlaps. So, I am baffled by our hint from Calvin. The only other odd engine cars I can think of besides Novi is the Brabbam powered one and I think it used regular Indy Firestones. So.....wait, there was an "organ pipe" Maserati powered car that DNQ.

Well no one has ever done Will Overhead's 500 winner and because that was earlier than 1963, it isn't happening here. Jordan

Juanjo is one amazing modeler! That Studabaker Novi is awesome. I wish I had a bit of that talent
I hope Calvin's super classified kit is this one, a cool car and near the end of the Novi era. neat engine, I doubt it had the real potential to last with full power for 500 miles. It had a fully machined block and heads with no water jacket to speak of. Heat and aluminum are not a good combination.

This forum has had me looking up Indycar history. Only started paying attention when that yellow chaparral won around 1980?
Hurst Floor shifter from 64.....
Caught my eye when I read up on it.
Then for your 24th scale sportscar section you can do the weird Shadow Can Am 'go kart' thing whats name escapes me.
Bet these would sell really well.
