This project started over a year ago when I drew up the images you've seen on Facebook and the other thread, but I was pre-occupied with the Wasp and 85 March production. This project gained steam in the fall when Kevin contacted me about using some of my parts for a 72 Eagle. I told him that I had a 74 Eagle drawn up and suggested we pool our resources and talents to produce all new Eagle kits in a joint effort. As you can see from the pics below, resin production on the 74 is well under way. Investment casting is underway for white metal parts (suspensions, exhaust, turbo, plenums, wing supports, steering wheel, etc) This is an all-new effort, completely full kit - no raiding the parts box or scratch building. The only repurposed part is the wheels. Everything else is brand new, drawn from scratch - even the tires are new. First up will be the 74/75 Eagle which will be available through me. Kevin will do the 72 body old-school, combined with parts that transfer over between the two cars and will be available from him. I really wanted to wait until we had the kits ready to ship before announcing this, but there's been too much Eagle chatter in recent weeks to continue the silence. We have not set a price or release date, but I can say that it won't be more than the 85 March and our latest target date for release will be the memorabilia show the day before the 500. It 'could' happen sooner, but if it does, think of it as a bonus. And of course - in addition to my solid lineup of decals for 72-76, there will be even more forthcoming! There will be no pre-orders, no reservations, no waiting lists. It is our goal to keep these kits in constant production. And by that I mean, yes, there will be times we run out, but we won't make you wait excessively long times. We realize that these are kits that will always have demand due to their popularity and ubiquity. So today I got my first resin parts from Kevin and as is usual for him, they are stunning! and, with that, on with the photos: All the resin parts - since white metal is still in production I don't have any of those to show. Unprecedented tub detail: Full rear bulkhead detail and under-roll-bar detail Optional radiator exit flare - this will be supplied as a 3d printed piece This was the most challenging piece I have ever drawn up:

OMG!
I'm getting light headed! As its such big news! Its the most beautiful thing I've ever seen!
Everything is just right for a 1974-76 Eagle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We've been studying Eagles for years and know all the angles and lines so well, that its such a relief to see a kit that is completely accurate!
THIS IS A BIG FREAKIN DEAL!
I was getting kinda depressed about Eagles kits recently....it was like...what's the point? One of the most popular cars and no easy way to have an accurate good kit.....I spent years trying to figure out how to make an AMT into something acceptable, but got completely burnt out....im glad those days are over.

Yes! Will definitely get a couple. I am hoping that the Smokey Yunick chevy version may be a possibility?

That depends on how good you are at scratch building and decal making

FINALLY! One of the biggest gaps in 1/25 Indy modeling has been filled! An accurate Eagle, never thought I'd see one, and now I can have as many as I want(read: can afford)!

I know the first ones I'm going to build will be the 1975 Winner and the 1975 Surgaripe that Bobby Unser drove at Michigan that Johnny Rutherford put him into the wall and broke his leg. (I have a real fascination with that fall Michigan race)

For the True Gurney Fan. Attached is a photo of the 74 Gurney Eagle test car from Ontario, California. I plan on doing the two barge boards and rear wing for the Indycals 74-75 Eagles. I know this car at one time also sported a funky nose but I do not plan on producing that because I don’t think many modelers would want to saw off the nose off their new Indycals kit. Basically, the kit will be made up of only three parts. Indycals will be doing the decals for it and it will be sold thru Silver City Models. As you know I will be producing along with the help from Indycals, the 1972 Eagle. I will offer two different kits, one for the 72 Unser Indy Pole winner and the 73 Johncock Indy winner. Johncock won the 500 in a 72 Eagle. The only difference will be front and rear wings and front fairings. Thank you to everyone for the great comments and enthusiasm for these new kits. Will keep you posted on the progress. Thanks Kevin

No, I said it is going to be released there. As I said in the first post in this thread the plan is to keep it in continuous production. Right now I'm only focused on the memorabilia show.
