Hi everyone I took the opportunity to take a couple of photos of the investment cast Eagle parts. These were originally shapeways resin printed 3-D parts. These will now be sent to Wiseman Models in Kentucky. Thy will be Vulcanized in two-part rubber and then our parts will be spin cast in white metal for the finished product. Don’t ask me how to explain all of that in simple English but it works. Also I am hoping to have a few of my 72 Eagle kits at the Indy Memorabilia show, I have been really putting in a lot of work into the final project. I will send over a few picture of how it looks in the near future. Thanks Kevin, Silver City Models

Is it just because I've been doing some stucco and concrete work lately, or do those things look they're cast in stone to anyone else? Other than the color, they look real! Wow, indeed! --Frank

Absolutely increadable, Kevin! I can tell you spent a huge amount of time cleaning and smoothing out the 3d masters to get that awesome surface on the investment castings.

Just wondering a few things: First up will be the 74/75 Eagle which will be available through me. Kevin will do the 72 body old-school, combined with parts that transfer over between the two cars and will be available from him. ... We have not set a price or release date, but I can say that it won't be more than the 85 March 1. Confused on how these kits will be sold. The 74/75 car will be sold thru the Indycals site, but the 72 car will be available from Kevin (does that mean thru ebay only?). 2. What was the price of the '85 March kit? For some reason I never saw it for sale anywhere and I don't see it on the Indycals site. I'm not asking for a locked-in final price, just a ballpark idea of how much I will need to budget for while waiting for the release. I have been seriously debating ordering a couple of 1/20th Model Factory Hiro kits (two of my holy grails), and now trying to figure out what I can/can't do money-wise. And also want to add my thanks and admiration to both of you for producing this kit! The '72 Olsonite car has been one of my all-time favorites since first seeing it as a boy starting to follow auto racing, and is a must purchase for me (to replace the B.Jorgenson resin transkit I have had for almost 20 years and just been afraid to finally tackle!) Thanks, Cameron

I know many of you want more details, but I am not willing to say anything beyond what you see in this thread. Everything will be made clear in due time as it gets closer - you've waited this long a few more weeks won't be a big deal There is still a lot of things to work out and our main concern is insuring that these are the best Eagle kits you have ever seen.

Kevin does sell directly, you can contact him by email. That is usually better to deal direct, due to eBay's fees, and you get some more payment options.
His email address is in the Vendor thread that can be found in any section of the forum. I'd link it but having some connection issues at the moment.

Oh yeah, I'm in. Won't be at the memorabilia show, but will for sure get one after. I spent a lot of time (and took a lot of shots) of Uncle Bobby's '72 pole winner at The Peterson museum last month. Though it didn't win, that car is memorable for posting the greatest one year jump in speed ever. All about that barn door Mr. Gurney stuck on the back.
For anyone even close to the west coast, it's worth the trip.

Calvin was a bit dismayed that I used a paint called "Whipped Apricot" on the prune car, so I'm just going to refer to it as the Apricot Prune

No offense, they look great. Hope assembly is going well. Jordan

Great job, both of you guys! The detail is amazing. Not much to add, but maybe some Pro Tech braided line from laskiscale.com and you have a full-detail Indy car! I really look forward to building some of these. I already have a couple versions in mind. -Art

The 72 Eagle will be $125 with decals available through me. Michael, I bought your 1972 Olsonite decals when I first discovered Indycals about 5 or so years ago, for the Bill Jorgenson transkit I still have in my stash. I will be ordering a new sheet for the improved printing quality, but wondering if the new sheet is necessary due to size/shape changes to fit the new kit? Thanks, Cameron

Kevin and I were just discussing today an arrangement so that you don't pay more for Kevin's when you include the decals. Just trying to work out the details.
