Really excited about these new Eagles. I'm waiting for Donohue's 1972 winner that I ordered from Lance, which he's said he has now started shipping. And now you guys are making it possible to also get an equally accurate quality kit of the Olsonite Eagle. These are two of my all-time favorite cars from the first year I started following racing as a teen.
This really is a great time to be a race car modeler!

I won't be at the Speedway this year, unfortunately. But I NEED to have one of these. Am hoping kits are easily available otherwise. 1975 was my very first year........was a close race between Bobby, AJ and JR until it rained, we got drenched!

Building up nicely. The engine is mounted about as securely as any engine I've ever mounted to any car. I could pick it up by the back of the gearbox and wave it around if I wanted to (I'm not, but I could) There are four engine mount holes where the engine itself mounts to the tub and four additional holes for the radius rods. The triangular braces mount to the back of the engine mount and back of the tub. The white metal parts are fantastic. Kevin, our investment caster and white metal guy all did a great job turning 3d prints into metal. Unlike Kevin, I'm hand polishing - using sanding sticks, steel wool, and polishing cloths, no dremel cleaning here.

The Eagle looks really good Michael. Everyone involved has done a great job on the Eagle kit. I think this is the one I will attempt, it is a few years out of my period of interest but it's such a nice kit, I will make an exception as I did for Lance's McLaren of 1972. Then I am going back to my 60's only realm

Drivetrain on the Jorgensen is finished. I'm really pleased with how well this came together. Everything fit perfectly, but there was one problem I noticed. When I was fitting the pipe that runs from the turbocharger to the plenum, I noticed it seemed to be bumping into the upper right radius rod. I looked at my 3d design and sure enough - they intersect each other! But only by a tiny amount, which corresponded to the same amount I had to shave off the pipe to get it to fit, so while it is a design error, it is a testament to the precision we are seeing with these parts.

Glad it was an easy fix. Always learning!!
Looks really good, glad it is assembling similarly.

That flaw only proves that you're mortal after all. Something I've doubted for quite some time.
