Thank you for the compliments Duane and Calvin. After talking with Gary Doucette yesterday...I'm really biting at the bit to build a few of his Indy kits.

Gary is a great guy, we look forward to your Indy builds. I guess he couldn't be ALL that bad with a name like that...LOL. We were laughing about Him being the GD of the EAST and me being the GD of the west.
A few progress pics. Here's the new dash I mentioned earlier. The fittings for the oil tank(resin after mrkt) and the radiator(fabbed) have been added. The tail fuel tank is in mock up to get measurements. The hood and all the panels have to be fabbed...but they will built just before painting the chassis.

Until, or unless Gary gets online, we won't have to worry about any confusion. Your build is looking great. Some of the work I have seen here lately, makes me almost ashamed to show my builds.

Duane, I've still got you covered on old, and lazy. Calvin, I'm conserving my strength for my upcoming Lotus 34 build, as soon as somebody gets motivated enough to finish the kit.

Well folks....I've finally got the hood dilemma( at least it was for me....LOL) figured out today. I started with the kit hood and modified it. I cut the down bars off of the side panels of the kit hood. Attached the sides to the top to get a measurement. Had to widen it 4mm and I'm going to have to lengthen the back that sits over the firewall and the sides about 7mm. You can see that in the pics.. I've also got ALL the drilling for wires and plumbing finished. here's a few pics of the progress...thanks for looking in...
The two separate sides of the hood with the inside supports...
With the center section added and in mock-up. Still more work to get it to the correct height and sit...but it's getting there...

Thanks for the comps guys....
I got the extensions built on the hood. It looks a lot better to me now. I still need to trim some off the side panels(both sides) and a little on the nose. Then...I think it's ready to prime and do the body putty thing. Here are a few pics of that progress.

Here's another small update on the body panels....I worked on the hood and got it to sit where it's suppose to. I need to trim a little off the bottom yet. Got all the panels measured and cut( with the exception of the right top side)...it has the arm bubble in it and I had to add material to make it work out. It's curing and will go on tomorrow. This is in mockup and it's really starting to look like a 410 now. Thanks for looking in folks....

The frame is such a work of art that it seems a shame to cover any of it with body panels! It's good that so much of that frame will still be visible.

Remember this is model building, Gary. Not build the real thing! Its looking too real and you'll going to loose the model building feel.....this car will be a ban at any model car contest for being too good!

Thanks guys...I've got the other two panels finished(the top left and right) finished. I'm working on the Hood again....I'm going to cut the nose of it and permanently mount it to the chassis. That way I can take the rest of the hood off to display the engine bay. Thanks for looking in..

This really is something. I live close to Bloomington Speedway, an ancient 1/4 mile track, that has been home to all of the Kinsers. I manage to get there several times a year for the Friday night shower of red, southern Indiana clay. Your car should be ready to go in the Spring. Can't wait to see it. Oh, I forgot; it's not full size. Damn, my eyes are getting bad. Your work on the shocks is mind-blowing. Jim
