The IMS photo shop would be the best bet for photos IMO. I can tell you that the logo on the fin is a young indian boy, with 2 feathers in his headband.

I ordered Lance's M15 and Mallard, but I'm in for 1 of the Apache kits.
Strange place to put the intakes, you'd think they'd act like a huge vacuum...

Whats that tank looking thing behind the left rear wheel that shows up in some photos? More to follow on this project. Sandy

Information on that car is very hard to come by, Sandy. Let's face it, by 64 the car was obsolete,it was, by far the slowest car in the field, and Bill Cheesebourg was hardly a household name (his driving resume was only slightly better than mine). Apache Airline, in its best days had 4 airplanes. I think that thing behind the left rear tire was ballast, in an attempt to help the speed in the turns. I don't think it was on the car for the race.

I am definitely in for one of these Apache Airlines kits... Anything from the '64 500 is a must have! I will introduce myself later this evening, I look forward to being involved here.

Cool subject matter Calvin
putting it on my future "to do" list
I for one am envisioning an entire 1963 field of cars! I mean Lance has already given us most of the really hard ones. The Novi's, The Roller Skates. You and Michael have made it possible to do the Team Lotus cars. Now Lance has done the 1963 Watson, and re-issues the older models from time to time. The winner of course has been covered and upgraded (depending on when you bought in, either the Sellers version or your own) The 1963 Bowes Seal Fast car was indeed this same machine as the Metal Cal. I am hoping that in the not so distant future a decal set for the 1963 version of this machine is available.

It's been quite a while since I posted anything on a build. There is a good reason for that, I haven't done much lately. other projects, and a little "burn out" have gotten the way. However some progress has been made. 4 paint jobs later, the end is almost in sight. Calvin suggested Testors Daytona Yellow for the color. After looking, I thought that was too bright. The only color Calvin, and I have ever agreed on was Black, so this is Krylon Bright Idea. Turns out that over Tamiya White primer, it was a bad idea. Live, and learn.

Calling this one finished. I made a new dash panel, and the arm guard. The injector stacks are from Corner 5 Hobbies, and the steering wheel is from Tim Jones. This car and driver are quite special, to me, and have been on my wish list for quite a while. Calvin made this possible, and I really appreciate it, Thank you, Calvin! ps, I just may have mentioned this, but a Lotus 34 is also on my wish list.
