Thank you for all your kind words. The end result starts with a really good resin body and suspension. I did not open this one up due to time issues, but the motor is not bad at all. His new kits are getting photoetch. I can't wait to get the Bugatti 1956 French GP and 553 Squalo. I also just got his Ferrari 315S Mille Miglia kit and it is a stunner. I love his work, although his castings do have a lot of air bubbles that can be fixed with work. He has a very good eye.
The wheels came from ABC years ago. I liked the rim offset for this model. Never really liked the ABC wires very good but they look good here. I would like FPPM to improve the tires and outside rims on the 1950's GP cars. The wires look fantastic. I can't believe they do hand laced still.

Another FPPM model kit, the 1/24th scale Ferrari 315S 1957 Mille Miglia kit. The photo shows the model before I put the windshield in. FPPM has the photoetch back for the 1/24th Ferrari 553 and it should be out this week. Great old school kits. He really has a good eye for shapes.

Going on from this I have picked up some of these Centauria F1 models. Decent quality.
If you know anyone in Italy then get them to grab what you might like. 20 euros a pop on the news stands as opposed to around 35 on ebay plus the postage. But I took that hit given these are still cheaper than most 1/43rd and they cover some of my particular favourites from the past.
The FPM material is top draw and a T4 sounds just right. Did he not do a T3 once upon a time?

Fernando Pinto(FPPM) just published photos of the 1/24th Ferrari 312 T4 on his facebook. Full detail with a large photoetch sheet. Looks like an amazing super detail kit.

So Fernando Pinto says his next 1/24th kits will be the French GP 1954 W196 Streamliner and the W196 slipper versions.
With Hachette cranking out extremely nice 1/24th scale diecasts in it's news stand series from Italy we may be able to do all the Formula 1 winners in 1/24th scale soon!! Who would have thought that a few years ago.

Try ebay user jouef-tifosi . He did not go anywhere, but I think he is using a new vendor name. You can also buy direct and avoid ebay charges.

Fernando's FPPM 1/24th W196 1954 aero kit should be out in a few weeks. Hachette has now announced it's 1/24th scale collection up to number 35 with 23 world champion cars included so far. They have atleast 60 1/24th scale F1 models planned. These are top quality very detailed diecasts not models but with some extra detail added can be made into top quality display models. I think by late next year it will be possible to have almost all the F1 world champion cars in 1/24th scale if you buy the FPPM 1/24th early car kits and the Hachette 1/24th models. What other scale can you do that in other than 1/43rd.

FPPM should be releasing the 1/24th 1954 French GP W196 winner full engine detail soon, the envelope car. He is still planning the 1/24th 1954 W196 slipper full detail body car.
Hachette just announced they are doing a curbside W196 1955 short wheelbase car in 1/24th scale. I do not know if you have seen the Hachette series of 1/24th F1 car diecast curbside models but they are better than most plastic kits for accuracy and detail. Amazing but true. I am adding detail or tearing down completely depending on the car I am doing. Don't let the price for Hachette on Ebay Italy fool you. Shipping is the most expensive part!! unless it is a rara car.

Fernando from FPPM has made a set of larger 1/24th wire wheels to fit on the Hachette Alfa 158 model and early 1950's F1 cars. Should also work on the Ferrari 375 F1 better.

FPPM says after he completes the Merc 1937 W125 and Ferrari 125 open wheel he will do the Alfa Romeo P3 all in 1/24th scale and the 125 in both 1/24th scale and 1/20th scale. We could also see an open wheel W196 in 1/24th scale as Hachette did the aero 1955 Monza W196 winner.
