So all my other projects have been boxed up in order to focus on the Colt again. I hope to have the turbo system redesigned by the end of this week and then move onto the suspension pieces. I hope to be molding parts by the first of July and to also start taking pre-orders by then as well. Now for the not so good part, there will be a noticeable price increase on this kit. I have not settled on a price yet but the cost of metal parts, resin and rubber have all been going up, I will give more updates as they become available. Lance

Understandable, Lance. I heard the same from Kevin at the Memorabilia Show. We appreciate the work you guys do and know the recent increases are squeezing already thin margins.

Jordan Its been a bit of a nightmare, lately with supply issues with my favorite type of resin and rubber. Ive had to switch resin and rubber.

I had to find a new source for resin, rubber has not been hard to get but both have gone up in price, the cost of metal parts has nearly tripled.

Working om new plenums for the turbo system, the originals were made from brass and I may still use them but wanted to try out some new ideas. I have been looking for a sharper bend in the parts that run from the plenum to the motor, the thicker brass rod will not take a sharp bend, tubing creases, plastic rod will not hold it's shape once bent. My solution was to insert a thin brass rod in to a plastic tube, the thinner brass rod will take a sharper bend and keep the plastic tubing from creasing. Next a mold is made and a resin piece cut to length, as four equal pieces will be needed, a jig is made by pressing the part in to putty and allowing the putty to harden. Once the putty is hardened, the part is removed and the jig is trimmed to show where to cut the other parts. As for the plenum itself, a line is scribed down the center of the tubing and then the center of the holes are marked with a punch, this helps keep the holes straight and evenly spaced while drilling them out.

I am very pleased with the new plenums, a much better fit was achieved which sets the plenum a little higher without interference from the engine cover.

Latest update, the rear suspension is done except for the sway bar. The front suspension is nearly done, just need to duplicate the parts for the right side, plan to have most all parts done by the end of July.

Yes I am still taking orders. Here I go again, waiting until the last possible minute, then finally placing an order when I could have done it months ago. Thank you for your patience, Lance. I will send a check for one tomorrow!

All parts are finished and ready to mold (I will be test fitting everything one last time). I just finished a new tail piece as I decided the old one had some issues, much happier with this one. If anyone wants to order one who has not yet done so, now would be a good time to do so to aid in getting this one out the door !
