I saw a few on ebay, but can't find a complete listing of what they make. From what I can see the kits look really good and they have some interesting selections. I thought I saw a Cooper too online somewhere as well. The Ferrari 166MM looks pretty good as well.

Wow looked at his facebook page(I don't have facebook either, but all the pictures there are amazing. Especially the wire wheels. Wish he would do a 1962 BRM P261, always liked that car a lot. Those kits are really detailed, very well made as well, I'm assuming by the owner. Thanks very much for the info and build ups. I would like to think I could build one, but for that money I sure would hate to screw one up !

Working my way through his 1915 Indy winner
Overall I'm very satisfied with the kit - the wire wheels are great & the overall casting is also
I've had some problems cleaning up the smaller resin pieces & have made new ones from plastic but I'll definitely buy another of his kits when I finish this one

Bsmooth: He has done Hill’s 1962 champion...he has several kits available that are NOT on EBay...he runs “specials” like Free Shipping (saves $15) or lower cost for pending release ( the Bugatti was like $10-15 off the regular price)...he also has what looks like the best kit for the shark nose 1961 Ferrari...Go to EBay and send him a message about what you want.. Good luck! Tim

He has been doing kits for quite a while. I have 2 of his kits, the Indy Ferrari, and the Indy Cooper. I have not built the Ferrari but it seems to be a very well done kit. I have built the Cooper, and it was probably the worst resin kit I have done (there is a WIP of it on the board). In this hobby usually you pay your money, and you take your chances. Calvin, Kevin, and Lance are a sure thing. anyone else is a crapshoot.

Could you be more specific about who Calvin, Kevin or Lance are ? Sorry I'm sort of new to this and I'm learning as much as I can.

I'm Calvin and own the hobby store, The Model Car Channel.store and I sell mostly my own line of resin kits branded Classic Racing Resins. But I do also sell Indycals decals too. And once in a while I sell regular plastic model kits.

I’ve built a handful of Fernando Pinto’s kits and they’re generally well cast. The parts fit generally well and he makes unique subjects. At the same time will need to do grinding on some parts as they can be rather thick. In addition, sometimes the instructions aren’t always clear, so make sure you have reference photos for the car you’re building. That said, I highly recommend his kits!

This is where I am in his 156 kit. I had quite a bit of putty work to get the sharknose area looking good and a fair amount of flash removal from the chassis but it's all starting to come together now. Paul Erlendson

Hey Paul...this is looking real good my friend. Does ya have an update for this bad boy? I've got a few of Fernandos' kits and I want to get to them. I don't have this kit though. Looking at your build is changing my mind.

Sorry Gary, I haven’t done anything on this one in quite awhile. I do have a couple of projects I’m into right now that I might share with everyone soon. I’m also close to starting back on another of my favorite builds one of these days.

I can also add that he sells wire wheels and tires also, and they are fantastic.

Just rec'd my first FPPM kit, the 1915 Indy Winner. It took a LOONNG time to get here, but Fernando reassured me that it would either get here or he would send another and he always answered my queries promptly. The kit is very nice, and as said above, the wire wheels are amazing! Looks like it will be a straight-forward build. I won't hesitate to buy more from him.

I had the Ferrari 156 and the Vanwall kits. I was very disappointed with the molding on both kits. In some spots the resin was so thin I could see through it. I other areas there were metal parts imbeded--which was nice--but the resin was incomplete in those areas. I always wanted to build a 156 and was very disappointed and got rid of both of them. On the other hand, the wire wheels are exceptional. Best I have ever seen. I bought some extra to see if I could use them on Gary Doucette's kits.
