So how the hell do you post the image rather than a link (imgur)?

So how the hell do you post the image rather than a link (imgur)? You need the URL for the actual image, not the page the image is posted on. Try right-clicking on the image. On the Mac I see an option to copy image URL - doing that gives me this: i.imgur.com/KtFiBqY.jpg - that is the path to the actual image. Click on the icon above that looks like a picture frame and past the URL into the window that pops up - that gives you this:

Basically, look for an image code that has those > [IMG} on both sides of the code [/IMG]
you are basically telling the forum to go to your picture hosting site and to show it here.

There is a couple of different ways of obtaining the {IMG} code, this is one of them.

I think I've been waiting to build this car since I saw it in 1972. Looks awesome!

Now that I am on a bit of a restrictive budget, I am glad I got this one when I had the available funds. It looks great, Lance, what is this painted with? Looks like the two builds have different paints.

I feel the same Jordan. Lance, do you have an idea as to when you'll be able to start shipping? It's really looking good!

The McLaren looks great! I am very glad I invested in one. It shall be the only winged car in my collection. I make that exception because I really admired Mark and his abilities.

I used Zero Paints "Sunoco Blue" , the older build in the background was done with Testors "Dark Blue". Personally I prefer the Testors, the Sunoco Blue is really dark, if the model is not under really good light it appears almost black in color.

Okay, I know we hate color debates, but what Tamiya blue would be correct?

I will jump in here, and then Calvin can use his "you are wrong" graphic. I think most navy blue paint would look OK on one of these. If you want to use Tamiya, I would go with TS15, TS51, or TS93. My feelings on color are, as long as you are happy, nobody else matters.

Too much Turkey, young man? No, I had some "rubbery" chicken for dinner. I ate thanksgiving with my cat.

If I were only using Tamiya, I would use TS51. I totally agree! Color debate solved!

I asked Chuck Sprague about this several years ago when he was involved in restoring the Gary B car to a Donohue replica for the Penske Museum. He said that Sunoco blue varied based on what was easy to get a hold of. Basically a navy blue with slight variations in shade.
But I will say this - the Sunoco cars were never metallic blue (TS51 is metallic).

Must admit, I had no idea TS51 was metalic, pretty much takes that out of the running.
