Here's a little update...I changed the bolsters on the bottom of the seat...I like this a lot better. They need filled and sanded to shape as they are in their basic form right now....
Here it is sanded to shape....

Thanks for the compliment Harveythedog.....
Here's an update....95% of the bar work is complete. The front shock mounts need to be fabbed along with the racing harness mounting points. The Dash also needs to be fabbed along with all the gauges. This chassis is just about ready for primer/paint. Here are a few pics of the bar work....

Thanks Duane and Kip....I'm working on the interior now....The shifter is built(added a new Ball and re-scribbed the rubber boot)and the Dash is taking shape. The gauges and toggle switches still have to be fabbed. I also have to build the support for the steering shaft and wheel. Once I get that taken care of.... the Battery and fire extinguisher will be laid in position. That will happen this weekend...hopefully...Thanks for looking in and commenting guys....

Thank you for the Comps Craig and ART. Here's an update on some of the small stuff that takes time to figure out and build. A battery Box was fabbed along with padding and rib bolsters on the seat. The seat will be covered in a black fabric so it won't be so shinny. A fire extinguisher was sourced from a parts box but had to be modified to a hand held type. The brake master cylinder was also sourced from the 34 ford kit and the fluid reservoir had to be fabbed...here are a few pics to look at...thanks for looking in folks.... The battery box... New seat padding... The master cylinder.. On the firewall.. Fire extinguisher....

Hey Duane....Thanks for the compliment. Man...I'll tell ya...my Computer went south on me about a week and a half ago. Just got the new one on line and have been working with it almost ALL day trying to get things loaded back in. I was one of those guys that stuck with Windows XP pro and didn't want to go to the NEW fang-dangled...hard to operate systems. But...the guys at ACC TECH here in Lakewood,Wa. are flat awesome. They loaded the windows 10 in and gave me more space than I will ever use. This puppy sure runs GOOD! Almost like a Brand Spanking NEW kick butt engine in a race car!! LOL...
I do have more pics to post and I'll get to that fairly soon. Chassis is almost a rolling concern but not quite. As soon as I get it up and standing on all fours...I'll update with pics.

Hey bud....Not a BRAG at all...just felt good to have this thing back and running......The speed of this thing... is what I was really talking about. And I do understand that a computer is exactly that...a piece of equipment meant to break. It's a good tool but that's until the powers that be decide to change things....Don't we know....

Thanks for the compliments folks. It's been some time since I've been able to do an update. My computer went waaaay south on me and I had to buy a new one. It was loaded with Windows 10, and Man...I had to learn all the idiosyncrasies ( had to look that word up...spell check didn't even come close..LOL) and I still don't know everything I need to about 10. I'll say one thing...XP was a whole lot easier to use.... Here is an update: The chassis is ALMOST complete. Still have to finish with the fuel cell and mount it in plus run the fuel line to the fuel log on the carb. Front end is done. the rear is complete along with the brake lines from the master cylinder. I still have to make the Racing harness and mount the seat in after they are made. The first coat of the first color will be shot on in a day or so. It's starting to look like a finished car. Here are a few pics for a look see.... The front with the poseable steering... Rear end with the Brake plumbing... Filters on Carb and valve cover. The Spring and throttle linkage are added here too... The other side to see fuel log..and interior work..... There's still a few things to finish but it's starting to give that let's fire it up feel. Thanks for looking in folks....

glad to see you back at it gary. you might be tempting fate with a green race car though... duane Thanks Duane....LOL..That thought is always in my mind also (when I see a green race car). That's kinda dating us don't 'cha think ? LOL It's not easy being green LOL...that's for sure Craig....I remember back in the 60s a friend of the family ran a brite green 57 chevy. He couldn't keep that car on 4 wheels. Every Race he would roll the thing. I started thinking he was doing it on purpose...the announcer stuck him with the moniker "THE ROLL OVER KING". Needless to say...it stuck. Wow. The front and rear end are unbelievable. The amount of detail is amazing. Loving those battery cables. kip Thanks KIP....the cable ends are made with two sizes of Aluminum tube and wire.

The chassis is a roller now and in these mock up pics...the cage isn't in. I'm still adjusting the front body height..and I think I like it where it's at now. All body work is finished and it's ready for color. I still have to run the fuel line from tank to carb. That will be done when when I mount the engine in permanently. That should be today... Here's a few pics to see the stance... Thanks for looking in folks......
