Robby - Yes, the car finished the race on red stripe tires. Yes, brake discs and calipers come with the car.

After an hour of trying to download photos to Photobucket, I was only to get one to take. I will try again in the morning but here is the one finished photo of the car. Note, the base has a plastic cover not shown in the photo. The driver figure is glued to a square clear plastic piece and can be moved where ever the owner wants it. More photos tomorrow hopefully.

Really nice Stu.
It is a very nice thing, and it brought a very good price. It's a great cause. Justin really was a super nice guy. His girls so young. I'm sure it all adds up and would be cool to remember this again when it is time for college.
Racing at times, is very cruel.
You rolled up your sleeves, you actually helped. Someone got a cool diecast, and the family got some much needed cash
Good On You.

Fabulous work, Stu. It was an honor to be a small part of the donation. Thanks to the guys who donated their parts, time, supplies, and those that financially donated to help defer the costs of the build.

Photobucket seemed to be fine this morning so not sure what happened last night.
Thanks to everyone for the kind words on the replica. It did turn out very nice but it could not have happened without everyone's help. Special thanks to the following:
Ralph Simpson: Scratch build front and rear wings, provided resin mirrors, snorkel with camera, & exhaust ports. Display bbase & clear cover! Jordan Darwin: Front Chrome wheels from his DP01 Panoz. A true sacrifice because he now has a Panoz with no fromt wheels! Michael Portaro: Amazing decals. Two sets because he knows my track record! LOL Red Stripe Tire decals.

Oops!!! I hit create post by accident! More thanks go to Steve Turner! Steve posted the auction and spread the word thru Indycar with his contacts. I am sure it was also helpful that his EBAY Seller Status is nothing short of stellar! Also thanks to everyone on this site for their support & donations to this cause. Also, also to Mr. Dale Coyne for bidding and being the auction winner. Rather fitting IMO. My heart aches for Justin's wife and those little girls. GOD BLESS THEM ALL.

The Justin Wilson replica is now on its way to Mr. Dale Coyne. I took this opportunity to write him a short note as well. See below. Dear Mr. Coyne, First, I wanted to thank you and congratulate you for being the winning bidder of the Justin Wilson 2009 Watkins Glen 1/18th scale diecast replica. Since this particular race was your first win as a team owner I think it is only fitting that you should own the replica. As you know 100% of the proceeds from your purchase went directly to the Wilson Family Fund. Second, I wanted to tell you a bit about all the guys at Open Wheel Racing Modeling. mb2501.proboards.com/ You will not find a better group of guys. Not only are we passionate freaks about Indycar racing, we are all model car freaks as well. I can honestly tell you that this build was a group effort as everyone on the site either donated funds, parts, decals, time, support and even prayers to this effort. Losing Justin was such a devastating blow to his family but also to all of us as fans. The guys here at OWRM wanted to somehow contribute together and do something for Justin’s wife and beautiful daughters. It is our sincere hope that you enjoy the replica and that it brings back good memories of Justin and that wonderful day. Best Regards, All the guys at Open Wheel Racing Modeling
