Thanks everyone. Slow going but getting there. Just so everyone knows. I have been commissioned to do Graham's Fontana winner so this build is going from his Indy 500 ride to the Fontana winner. There are differences in both the graphics and rear wing set ups but more on that later. Next I moved onto the winglet set up on each side and on top of the bumper pods. The 3D printed pieces are great but that area is so thin that it just wasn't holding together and the edge was wearing away and becoming frayed and jagged. I had to somehow fix this but not lose the curve of the winglet. Below is what it looked like before I started. Next I had to flip my knife blade over and scribe the end piece off. The old end piece is correct for Indy but not for Fontana so it had to go. Then I glued a small strip of very thin plastic under the winglet and used filler to blend it in. Had to do this to both sides but done now. Also added my new wider Fontana end plate. I am very happy with the results and no more jagged edge. Later that area will have carbon fiber decal covering it.

Hi Stu, Do you have a 3-D Printer ? Do you make your own Parts ? Thanks, Robby No Robby. You buy them at Shapeways.com and they 3D print them for you. The pieces you see above came with the Honda SW rear bumper kit.

Got quite a lot done over the weekend but decided to rework my engine cover so still working on it. Earlier I grinded out my exhaust ports so I made new exhaust outlets out of some old aluminum tubing I had. Added a Honda decal and some tiny American flags to my steering wheel. Detailed my fuel buck. Shot from the rear Still a lot to do but getting there.

Thanks everyone. Couldn't have gotten this far without your 3D stuff Chris and of course Michael's decals.
The fuel buckeye is really just some dress up stuff. Carbon fiber decal around the outer edge. I cut out a piece of carbon fiber decal and placed it over the buck. I pressed down all over until I had an indentation of the outsode surface. I then cut it out and decal softner did the rest and nestled it down. The ring in the center may surprise you. The ring inside the buck is actually from an old ball point pen. The pen screws apart in the center and I used the metal ring that fit between the two halves. Same way I did my Oriol Servia fuel buck last year. Have to find me some more ball point pens! LOL The piece in the very center is a photo etched piece I got in my spares box. If I had to guess I would say it is the PE buttons that go on the seats for the MKII GT40 but just guessing.

Wow, Stu this is top shelf work and the attention to detail is very nice. I was looking at my Minichamps 1995 Lola diecast last night thinking, "I should just get Stu to do the conversion on this one." Yep, you could say I'm a fan of your work!

Very beautiful work on this one. You are awful brave holding it with one hand and taking a picture with the other hand. That is when most of us would have dropped it. Were is this car going? Grahm would love to see that. Keep up the good work may bee it can be done before Graham wins Mid Ohio.
