Nice work! You've built a great looking model. Gary called and asked me to put out this notice- it seems he had a brief resin issue and a few Kuzma bodies that didn't cure properly may have gotten out. He said if anyone has a one of these 'soft' bodies to let him know and he'll send you a replacment body at no charge. Also, his Agajanian and Schmitt Spl Kuzma's will be out in the next few weeks.

Just found a Race day photo and there is NO Jimmy Bryan name on the right side of the Car. So It looks like your build is complete.

After looking at another photo of this car on race day there is no USAC or the Indy Logo on the right side There is another sponsors decal below the other 3 in the middle. I not sure but It looks like a Ideal Hose clamp decal.

I have the Ludvigsen book on Indy cars from the 50's & 60's. There are 2 photos of the right side of the Dean Van Lines car in the book. The first one shows the car on the trailer and has no sponsor decals at all. Presumably they put the sponsor decals on once they got to the track. The second photo shows the car in the pits and there are 4 decals on the right side. If anyone needs to see the photos I can try and scan them and email them to you. Let me know.

But wait, there's more! Years ago I built the Etzel Kuzma, so now I can have a reunion of team cars. Thanks for watching, for the music and for the information. This group is the BEST!

I really missed out on this one because where I normally check in on the forum has fotki blocked by the firewall. I had this page marked so I could come back and check what I missed, enjoyed seeing the build of this one. It looks great, thanks so much for sharing the build and finished car with us.

I just started building my kit. I didn't realize how soft the resin used for the body is. The heat from my hands made the sides collapse while I was sanding the windscreen area. I had to pull the sides back out and let the body regain its original shape.

LOL, that's funny! You're both right! I spoke with Gary last night and he's sending me another body. I'll just spend more time on the battleship I'm also building until the new body lands. :-)
