Decided to go a diffferent direction with wheels/tires. I had a set of Acc Min CanAm that I will use. That kit had wide web front wheels and narrow web rears. I had built a car with narrow web on both ends so I have the wide webs to use here. I've made most of the choices for parts so now just start assembly and finishing.

What is up with these alcohol sponsors in the background all about lately.....last week we had chromehorn with a bottle of Jack in the background of his Juan M. car and now our very own raceparke has an Andretti wine sponsor plug.... But your build is coming along nicely!

We're back. . . I drilled the suspension bracket and added small wire to attach springs and top links. Added pieces to top of hubs for wing supports. Rolling spring wire. And getting pieces together to make to spring/shocks

I like how you get in there and work on the detail.

I was going to write that I make my coil springs by wrapping wire around a fine-thread machine screw. Keeps the coils more evenly spaced. I was going to, but it looks like you've mastered the even coil technique! Instead, I'll just write NICE! --Frank

Those meats look so good on the car. I like the idea of wing supports on the uprights...why didn't I think of that! Rear assembly looks good, too!

Getting ready to apply red on the nose. Masking is not my favorite, but what are ya gonna do?? and the result. Some blurps, but the blue will cover some of that. This view makes it look a little like a dragboat maybe?

Calvin, I have so many models that need striping painted, but also I hate masking and painting them. Maybe the tape will get some things done.

Well, some more progress. Over the years, I've managed to misplace the front suspension arms. So I am bending them from soft wire. Not too bad Putting antiroll bars on and the radiator. I attached the wing supports to the rear hubs, but just have the wing sitting on pins on the top of the supports. When the supports glue hardens, the wing can be removed for painting and the supports will be in line. Had to remove the exhausts so they can be reshaped a bit. Two steps ahead, one back.

Well. I'd appreciate some help, advice. First, I need to strip and repaint the top bodywork. What is the easiest way to remove paint? Next any ideas what color blue this is? Metallic or not? Anyone, anyone, (Calvin?) Thanks. I've ordered the tape Calvin recommended and will continue mechanical stuff and posting between snow storms and subsequent removal efforts.

I am 95% positive Cannon's car had the blue area a metallic blue. I did see the car and remember from my photos.

We're back. Had planned to go to Ohio yesterday, but the weather won. Was going to a museum with my brother which had the Hogan Mclaren on display to check out details, color, etc. Turns out that when I was letting him know we wern't coming, he was letting me know that the car was not currently on the floor anyway. So some details I maybe would have confirmed, I will now create. Mainly in oil cooler and tank plumbing. I finished the exhaust and added shift linkage I am using the AM system as a template and for some parts but certainly not at that level of complexity. the AM tank cut down a bit and in place and with rad
