Thanks to all of you for all the kind words. And another thanks to those of you that provided parts and advice.
What's next? I have pretty much finished a box-stock build of modern sprinter. Just waiting for decals to turn it into the Jack Hewitt/Bob Hampshire 63. As for the next start, I've not decided. Under consideration are the 1962 Lesovsky Rose Trucking Spl. driven by Don Davis or Ebb Rose (gotta love the black and rose/pink colors) and the 1961 Paul Goldsmith (same car black and gold [love those colors too]). I like doing these one-of-a-kind builds. Also considering Herk's Demler 99, or maybe one of Gary Ducette's early 1920s or 1930s Indy kits. I've also thought about the King-O-Lawn laydown or the Lloyd Ruby Bill Forbes #18 roadster. kip

It's great to see a post from you, Bob. Are you working on that black Miller yet? Photos?

Actually I'm building the Lance Sellers Sumar Kurtis Kraft as the 1957 Bowes Seal Fast Special. I modified it to have the intakes on the left and the exhaust low on the right side. I'm about halfway through it but haven't taken any in-progress shots. I'll just post photos of the completed car. I haven't done any more work on the '59 pole sitter since I got the oil tank cradle you sent me, but I need to get back on that also. What are you working on now?

I have pretty much finished Jack Hewett's Hampshire sprinter. Just waiting for decals. Am currently doing Gary Ducette's 1935 Ted Horn Miller Ford. I think next I am going to do the 1962 J. H. Rose team cars--the Lesovsky and the Porter. So I guess I'll need to make a couple more of those oil tank cradles. GWS is going to do the decals. Looking forward to seeing the Bowes.

I have the 1941 Indy winner and the 1919 Indy winner from Gary. I'll probably get to the 1919 car before the 1941 car. Who makes the Lesovsky and Porter cars?

Gary Doucette makes the Lesovsky, its the same as Thomson's 1959 pole winner. Available on Ebay or directly from Gary--it saves him about 14% if you deal with him directly. The Porter is very similar to the Lesovsky. The velocity stacks come out of the hood differently and a few other things are different. Gary has produced the parts necessary to turn the Lesovsky into the Porter for his own collection but has not advertised any availability on them. Last Sunday he said he wasn't sure if he would mass produce them or not. He is sending me the Porter pieces, but I don't know how many he has made. If you want to contact him, PM me and I'll give you his phone number if you don't have it. If you decide to do either of these cars and want the decals, let me know and I'll get more sheets from GWS.

I just talked with Gary Doucette and he said he has decided to produce the 1962 J. H. Rose Lesovsky and the Porter roadsters.

Gary's phone is not international for me, but your service may be different. Check before you get stuck with a big phone bill.

Gary's a nice guy, but he's still in the dark ages with regard to computers. He doesn't even have one! Thanks for telling me about those other cars that he makes. I have enough of his kits to last me a while, though, as you know how much modification, cleaning up, scratchbuilding, etc. his kits need.

I agree, Bob. but I think the kits are getting better with each new release. Soon to come 1941 Bowes Seal Fast Rex Mays 1950 Wynn's Winner Jonnie Parsons 1956 Kuzma Deans Van Lines Jimmy Bryan Schmidt Johnny Thompson 1 more, I think
I see no hope of Gary getting a computer, I just don't get it.

I spoke with Gary and he did mention the Kuzma, but I got the impression he was just building a one-off for himself. That list of cars looks really interesting, though, and I hope he makes the Kuzma and those other cars available.

Gary told me he is about two weeks from issuing the 1956 Dean Van Lines Kuzma. He said that after that he will do versions for the 1956 Parsons 98, the Sweikert 1, the Thomson 88 and the 1957s of Sachs and Thomson. Variations of the noses and various grills and vents for each.

Cool. I just finished putting a couple hours in on the Bowes Seal Fast car. Seeing your Robbins car has me pumped up. If this build comes out nice I'll take it to the Nationals in Columbus in July. Are you and Craig going out? Craig's Packard Cable and your cars would do well at the Nats, in my opinion. They're in Columbus, Ohio this year. Not too far for either of you guys!

Art, I will post photos of the Hampshire sprinter when I get the decals and put them on. I actually did two, one with a wing and one without Pretty much box stock. One each of the two Monogram styles. I did them this past winter while waiting for some decent painting weather for the Robbins..
