Suspension is done, except for the drag link. Instrument panel is in. All decals are on. Oil tank installed in new position. Next will be the roll bar (needs to have a vertical piece added down the middle), rear "bumper (has a "vee" in the center instead the rounded shape of the kit), seat, steering wheel, the hated windshield installation, exhaust, wheels, fuel filler, and seat belts. Next post should be the completed roadster. kip

Aero in those days meant getting cool air to the radiator and hot air out! Don't forget those little vents at the back to get all the air out! --Frank

Working on the rear “bumper”. Kit bumper is straight across the back. The 62 Robbins had an odd point at the back. Another view. Same car, different year. Kit bumper on top. Made the bottom bumper from copper tubing so I could solder the diagonal braces on. The copper is a bugger to bend but once you bend it, it stays in shape—unlike the aluminum tubing. Braces soldered on. Seat is in with Detail Master 2260 lever-style seat belts. I really like the belts, but the instructions are rubbish kip

Finished. Pretty much straight forward kit build with some minor changes. Removed several air scoops. Moved oil tank toward rear. Moved fuel filler toward rear. New rear bumper. Slight modification to roll bar. Added seat belts. Used RB Motion rivets to hold windshield and upholstery. Replaced kit nose with Sellers 1958 nose. Many thanks to: --GWS Decals. Gary, they were fantastic. --oldphotos for photos. --jamesharvey, Oldcalhoun, and Gary Sleeper for parts and help. kip

Whenever Kip finishes a build people drop what they are doing and look!
The all around detail is incredible and done just right.....I also love how you made the Stones look weathered like they should!

Just off the chart too cool. Great attention to details like the knock off spinners, the body panel fasteners, the hood hinge, etc.
