I'm not sure awe is adequate, but I'm also not sure what is.

90% of the inner framing is done and we are well on the way to a completed tub.

This is like watching Gerald Wingrove, only in a smaller scale! You know that when you fire that thing up, and by all appearances, you should be able to fire it up, the paint is going to turn on the exhaust. A new benchmark has been set!

This build is just amazing, so detailed, and when you think this little community is a 'niche' thing, and then you have a build quality like this, one of the most detailed open wheeler builds I've ever seen. Anywhere. And there are some 7 billion ppl on this planet, and I bet not one other person around could detail a 1/25 scale Lola from Indy like this. Amazing, simply amazing!

Museum quality work going on here. Very nice to follow this wip. Looks like the real car from some of the pictures. You'll have to take some outdoor setting pictures when this is all done. I am sure you would not be able to tell the difference between the model and the real thing. Great job on all the details.

What do you use to get the seat that sponge look?

What do you use to get the seat that sponge look? It's a ground up fibre that is found in hobby shops all over. After you have the piece you want to cover all prepped (sanded, primed etc.) I just empty the contents into a zip lock bag .......take a small brush and use a deluted form of wood glue ....brush it on and then drop it in the bag and shake it up real good. Let it set for a few minutes and remove the piece.

You are all really wonderful with the support of this wip. Thank you so much.

Unreal! What a great piece of ingenuity, patience and deep thought. A real labor of love. Of course it doesn't hurt that its one of my favorite cars that my favorite driver raced. I can't wait to see the finished product. Keep up the great work!
