I've not spent much time at the bench this summer. Yardwork, grandkids, golf, the Eagle project, and some travel have gotten in the way. Plus, the fact that this build has fought me every step of the way, you know how some builds just kind of jump together, well this one wants to jump back into the box.       The decals are from Gary Sleeper (gwstexas), if you got decals from me, and are using the Lance Sellers kit, the numbers are too large. This is NOT Gary's fault. He sent me a proof sheet, and I checked and approved it. Gary has made new number decals, so if you need them, shoot me a PM. Gary did not even want to charge me anything for my screwup, he is a super guy to work with. Speaking of super guys, the injector stacks are from Corner5 hobbies (kurzhek) you can ger them on Ebay. Thought I would throw in a shot of my "helper" Moses, 18 lbs of PITA,  . Garfield is not the only feline builder here. Take Care Craig |

Such a beast! He's as large as my helper/modeling cat, Benjamino! That's 4 modeling cats I know of, yours, Russ', Chris', and now mine. Any other cat helpers?
I'm interested in a set of decals for my SE Finecast Mk38. Let me know what to do. I like Dan's car better than Jimmy's.

Cool! That Lance Sellers Lotus kit is very valuable now a days......for anyone that has one its worth more than gold! or if you think silver is worth more than gold, then its silver.

Moses learned quickly to stay off the bench, a squirt bottle, if he sees one, he is gone. Calvin, snakes freak me out big time. I could not work, knowing that thing was around. When Lance reissued the Lotus 38, I got 2, The other one will make good trade bait someday. Patrick, I have 1 sheet left, PM me if you want it. My problems with this build are not the fault of the kit, it's just Murphy's Law sometimes.

Calvin, snakes freak me out big time. I could not work, knowing that thing was around. I like bull snakes! They keep the rattlers away.....I've picked up a 5ft bull snake before......I was mowing the field back in Oregon with the 1965 Massey Ferguson and I didn't want to run it over. |

Craig, the build is looking just amazing. I have one of his lotus kits and i just get it out, look at it in amazement then put it away. Can't wait to see this together its looking really nice.

It is funny how a build forum turns into a snake forum. So I will say this first great looking build so far. Can't wait to see the finished product.
I hate snakes also and I don't ask if they are venomous or not. I was at a Scout camp this summer with my son and there we were two scouts going up the hill and two scouts coming down the hill. All four of us saw about a five foot snake about to cross the trail we were on. Say they least we did as they say stop! The snake slowly just crossed our paths over the trail and into the other side of the woods and was out of our sight in seconds. Than all five of us went are own ways. I never have ran across a snake like that before it was scary but also very cool to see. I am thinking it could have been a water moccasin. Like I said before I am not going to ask him though. I would hate to get bit by a snake. I don't think I would stay calm. I tend to freak out in situations and calm down afterwards.
Again great build on the Lotus looking very sharp.

My problems with this build are not the fault of the kit, it's just Murphy's Law sometimes. and your WIP got turned into a snake thread! LOL So all sorts of problems going on!  Maybe its good to shake off all the problems at the beginning then at the end. |

It's looking good!...I too, am often amazed at how the "little things" in any kit can make me crazy ...I still can't decide whether to do Gurney's or Clark's...one of Colin Chapman's greatest designs...
I miss guys like Henry Ford II: not personally, but as a businessman... he had a gazillion dollars and just wanted to win car races...I wish Bill Gates would start the "Microsoft Racing Team" and enter Indy and LeMans...
