Just for the heck of it, I had some junky old home made jet ink decals and some old flo paint...... I like to sometimes paint my masters up just for extra excitement and possible visual aid but I dont think I'm getting any visual aid from this as the decals are not sized right for this car and flo paint is never easy on the eyes! oh well its still fun to do in 30mins

I think the car is supposed to be yellow Is the plan to open up the triangle areas over the radiator inlets later? Jordan

Who's going to handle the decals since Michael has said he won't do M@r1b0r0 sets.

While I won't be doing the "fill-in' markings I will have the remainder of the sheet which will include appropriate dayglo markings for both Fittipaldi and Unser Sr.

I just wanted to show how I form the windscreen buck with Milliput. After it dries just pop it off and it will have the correct shape underneath. I'll just have to sand and shape the rest which isn't that hard.

Oh sure! Michael and I just got done with one of our productive email chats and he really helped me out in seeing whats going on with this PC18! I like how things are heading now! I just got done making my "Milliput adjustments" before bed time! Well actually bed time is almost gone....here in a couple of hrs the east coast early birds will be on here wondering what the heck I'm talking about. LOL

Yeah sure! No factory support from me unless you do a WIP! But in the meantime more updates.... I've said this many times before, but I feel we MIGHT have the right shape now. We just need to clean it up and equal out both sides...as in making sure both radiator exits are the same, they currently are doing the opposite of each other, but no big deal since its all about just squaring them up....what I was really trying to work out is that tricky radius up ramp. as I look at the pics I still need to round out those up ramps on the exits. Michael has very good picture that shows how much "craziness" goes on with these radiator exits, its quite amazing....

Looks like I timed my return to this forum just right to see this baby coming together. I've wanted to do a PC-18 for years (I'll still finish the Monogram March I was doing for Emmo's 1988 Indy 500 car).

Before I started on this I didn't realize how many little differences there are between the 17 and the 18 Calvin: Do not forget to see differences on windscreen shapes. PC18 looks more smooth/conformal with nose and it is larger on cross-section too. (Someone in another forum suggested to use Lola´s 8800 as base). Regard´s
