I started this in the introduction thread and I am carrying it over to the build thread... Basically, I am building an open wheel racer using 3D printing. It will be completed in the next few weeks for a trade show and am showing it for the first time here (I think you guys will appreciate it and I wanted to gauge reactions). I will repost the first two pics... Attachments:

Is it me or aren't there any images? Or has it anything to do with the forum software update?

So we started this about 5 weeks ago. The shiny parts all came back last week from the vacuum metalizers. We also sent out the frame and other parts to a Nickel Plater out east $$$$$, I put these guys all under the gun and they pulled thru big time!!! Attachments:

The Frame, was the most expensive to nickel plate on top of the ABS plastic we built it in... This was sent from the Plater and she looks pretty good so far! Attachments:

I'll update more pics tomorrow night if I have time... She should officially be done tomorrow.
Please let me know your thoughts. I am very excited about this build and we have kept it close to our vest until I started posting here.

Holy Hop-Toads! This is one amazing project. Approximately how much will the finished "model" weigh?

Oh Man yesterday was long... But she is finished... We spent most of the morning doing fit checks and repainting mistakes, adding decals and drilling and tapping holes. The videographer showed up around 3 pm and we captured the whole build up (I'll post this down the road). Anyway, you few diehards are literally the first outside my office to see this and it will be on display in Pittsburg for two days next week... then back to my office in Illinois.... Anyway, enjoy guys, I know you will like this model more than most car guys.

I made a decision to make up my own name for the car, yet kept the build as real as possible...
