I'm bored, so I'm starting my next WIP Thread. I've been dying to build this car, Emmo's rookie car that is. I'm going to work on this car while I cast parts for the people on my 84 March wait list. Things to know about this car is its a basic "stock" 84 March - WIT racing didn't run with any special wings or sidepods just a normal looking March 84c Since I send everyone all the nice cast bodies, I give myself all the resin body rejects, so I'll be using a reject to build this car, the body is all straight but has some massive air holes under but thats an easy fix. I'm thinking Tamiya TS-25 Pink would work on this? What does my color expert think?

I'm looking forward to watching this come together. I think Tamiya Pink isn't quite pale enough but I would use it anyway because it's close enough and super paint.

One of his crew members was Billy Roe, who later started two Indy 500s. Billy was a mechanic before he dabbled in driving.

No question about it. The pit lane is almost white, instead of being light gray concrete. About 1/2 stop I'm guessing.

The first thing to do is to make sure the all the resin is clean. Then glue in the Plug n' Playâ„¢ parts - the right and left radiator inlets, rear end, and cockpit. Its very simple, no measuring needed, just plug them in!

I almost spotted the Alex Lloyd HER car. I would have gladly worn the pink shirt in return for not having to use my binoculars.

I love the extended rear end to the March. Calvin, I remember that it was talked about but don't remember what you decided to do. Was that feature on any of your March kits? Naps are good! :-)

I think Michael might need to update his decal sheet some . these 'action' shots appear to be from race day '84. FYI pics are found at IMS official 'Flickr' page

Does anyone know if that black inlet is the inlet for the turbo or something else? Because I need to know if I need to get rid of the normal circular turbo inlet on the body and replace it with what think is a different type of turbo inlet - I cant find any good pics (yet)

Actually, the car in that particular photo is the 83C that the team raced at Long Beach and probably used for practise at Indy. However, the black air inlet on the engine cowling does not replace the round inlet on the right rear of the cowling. I think it acts to let more air into some part of the engine or to provide additional cooling - the cars that don't have this "snorkel" usually has a NACA-duct in the same place. Several cars had this inlet at Indy - in addition to Emmo, at least Mears' winning car and all three Foyt cars and the two Provimi cars had them. On the Mears car it was somewhat lower than the others.

I think I know how it goes now.....its actually more on top of the engine cover than on the side of it....it has the allusion of being mounted on the side kinda were the turbo inlet is but its actually not - its on top.
