I am still struggling with the rear deck cover! I have taken it apart and it is now in 3 pieces. I've even vac-formed it. It is so close, but...

Sounds like you are getting there, Patrick. Keep up the good work, the solution is within reach. You are a master craftsman.

Well, hrumph! I took the cover and broke it into 3 parts (no, I wasn't angry! LOL)so I could approach it in a different way... then I vac-formed the center section a couple of times, cut and glued them in place... this was good because it began to cover the turbo plumbing... it was too thin so I made some more and glued those on, too...now a bit stiffer, but didn't fit correctly... where upon I raised the white flag and unconditionally surrendered!!!!! It went into the box and I went on to other things for awhile. I'll be back you darn beastie...I'll be back! Patrick

Calvin, My "cool" vac-form machine is none other than Mattel's venerable vac-u-form machine I bought on Ebay many years ago. Some guy still makes the plastic sheets in white styrene and a clear sheet that has a protective film on both sides so the plastic won't get scratched. Not very big, but it works for small things.

Lance, Funny that you mention that. Two days ago I opened the box and looked over what still needed to be done. That blasted engine cover has me dead in my tracks. I recently scored on a "stock" engine cover and might just start all over on it! I might just show it (with out the cover or have the cover on the side) at the up coming NNL/West along with my Ferrari F1s.
