One problem with extending the nose... my decals won't be long enough.

One problem with extending the nose... my decals won't be long enough. No, it should look good. IMO the length of your decals are perfectly matched/scaled down to the real car (the original 1970 lightning stripes) I wanted more of a gap up front.

TS-72 Clear Blue over TS-44 Brilliant blue to give a candy look. I need to take a pic outside in some natural lighting to really show it properly. I love this color, its kind of cold look. Its ironic because its a cold night, its 12 degrees right now at 12:43 AM with a chance of 4 inchs of snow tomorrow. Oh boy!

Really awesome Calvin. You know, you should write a "How to" book or a "Model Building For Dummies" book. You have such a great creative mind that Im sure writing wouldn't be too hard.
I'd be first in line to buy one. Keep up the great work!

Next shape the exhaust system to fit. Then add putty to keep the foil from being too bumpy. Throw the engine in. Add the eagle axles & attach the exhaust. Take the lower rear suspension and cut off the..... Then get the tires prepped.

Calvin, you're killing me! That is just beautiful, and as usual, you make it look sooo easy! John Its actually pretty easy, no really it is. Its basically assembled in the same manner as the MPC eagle. I'll have some better pics latter....

Where'd you get those little white exhaust collectors? BTW I finally got both colors on my Wildcat. What a masking nightmare! Everything came out okay I guess. I'll find out when I put the white striping on!! Oh yeah, thanks for WIP on the J Lightning car and all the great photos. You're starting to get this model building stuff down pretty well. ;-)

WOW! And wow again. The one challenge I always seem to face building these cars is tricycling when it comes time mount the wheels. Any tips? Is the entire suspension from the Eagle? One more time, WOW!

ill put one of these on ebay this week if anyone is interested...my metal suspension is adjustable by bending it, so that helps greatly w any tricycle/ride height issues when you put the tires on

The one challenge I always seem to face building these cars is tricycling when it comes time mount the wheels. Any tips? YES. Test fitting & Work around the wheels, not the suspension. All besides the top front a-arms. As far as I can see from very few pics I have, the Eagle suspension is very close to the real Colt/lola.

I'm sorry to keep peppering you with questions, but where did you get the wheels?
