He also ran a Penzoil March for Penske in 1984 for 3 races late in the season. Thought you only meant at Indy not all races.

Magnesium wheels where used at the speedway in 1948 on the Pat Clancy 6 wheeler. They where not ready available tell 1950. Johnnie Parsons won a race at Arlington Downs in 1949 testing them. The First Indy winner was 1951 Lee Wallard in the #99 Belanger Spl.

But none of you guys can guess which was the first CART race to use Rain Tires. ;D Oh I could guess. Watkins Glenn? I was there the first time they used radial tires. On early Friday pratice, the rears tires on the Marches were rubbing on the undertray. After they came up to temp they would start rubbing and smoke realy bad. It was amazing to see them cutting off the rear of the undertray with a hacksaw.
