Three part question: What year was the final Champ car/cart race at the Ontario Motor Speedway, who was the winner and who was the team owner? It was Sep. 1980, Bobby Unser in his Penske PC-9 won the last indycar race at Ontario. Johnny Rutherford won the 200 Mile race at Ontario in the spring. (won by a lap)

(won by a lap) Calvin, thanks for the clarification. I looked that up to jog my memory, as I was about 11 at the time and went to both races that year. I vividly remember watching Rutherford pulling into victory lane with oil on all the leading edges of that beautiful car. It's been my favorite Indy car ever since. Very cool memory. The August race day was also memorable to me, but not for good reasons. My grandfather died the night before after we all were at Ascot for the sprint car races that night. My dad was maintaining J.C. Agajanian's sprint car that year and Eddie Leavitt was brought in from Knoxville to drive the car for him that night. When the drama unfolded the next morning, Eddie took me to Ontario to get me away from all the grief. That's all I really remember about that day, and I obviously got the winners mixed up.

No problem, I just know a few things about 1980, just a few. But most of all, thanks for sharing your interesting story about that time. The best thing about doing this Trivia Thread is to hear some good stories! Just a side note about the spring Ontario race. Bobby Unser was keeping up with JR but Bobby hit one of the Chaparral's ceramic skid plates for the movable skirts and punched a hole in his radiator, so Bobby was out and JR was home free, and drove off. That is basically the story of the race, really nothing else happen.

This next question might be arguable but as far as I know its most likely correct.
What was the last raced Indycar to have NO front wings. (not busted off but an actual design)
This might be very surprising to some people.
