More progress- the rear wing needs more and I've ordered more Viceroys from Indycals to finish the cockpit sides. I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel ;D ;D ;D

Outstanding craftsmanship! I will admit that I know very little about the subject, but looking through this entire thread what an amazing transformation.

Here is my last post (unless there are questions to answer). I declare this 1974 Viceroy Lola F5000 model to be finished! ;D! ;D The energy and encouragement I received along the way kept me moving along. Seeing the great interest in F5000 manifest itself on this thread is most gratifying. Thank you all each and every one. Thank you all for encouragement and support.

I remember seeing this car run at Mid Ohio. Someone needs to put this baby into mass production! Thanks for sharing this cool project.

You guys are just amazing. What a thread of history, pictures, and research about cars that ran 40 years ago. In some ways it seems like yesterday. There was really no difference between the F5000 cars and what USAC was trying to run on road courses at the time. Just great, thanks so much. Jim

Just thought I would bump this thread up. Those of us with Kevin K's great new kit can not only use the great pics, drawings and info, but can also marvel at Raceparke's spectacular scratch build. MJ

I have to agree with MJ about Raceparke's build. I am still amazed at the rough cut and the final finish of this model. Excellent...simply excellent!
