Progress shots! I'm cleaning up the chassis and have mounted new engine mounts. A cleaner roll bar, suspension arms, exhaust and intakes, radiator housings, maybe some hoses and fittings. The body in fact did look "fat" to me under the windscreen, so that will be altered too. More to come... all the best, Dan Parke

Patrick don't be sorry- the energy is wonderful; I'm flying happily along on this build, much more than if I were not part of the group. Chris, those are the intake stacks from an AM M8B attached to a sheet plastic strip. I've built several McLarens without all the detail parts and am now using those pieces on other projects. Knee deep is about right. . . . (and that's a good thing!) all the best, Dan

Kevin, I don't know much about casting. Not against it, just don't know anything. Dan

Nice work. It looks much more like a T332 than it did before.

This is great stuff! I can see this being done to a Carousel 1 Eagle in 1/18th scale! Just gotta find me a V8!
I am going to pursue this. Thanks for the inspiration! ;D

Hey Stu, the 1/18th GMP Sprint car or Champ car has a very usable small block chevy, with FI, stacks and are cleaners similar to the Lola... If you get the Champ car it also has a Offy to boot, just sold my last one for $30. but they are cool... Chris

ARRGH! ;D I just got the plans reduced to 1/24 scale so the WB equals 4.25". I will do the chassis, but don't know if I will finish the whole car ...ya right Patrick! I hope my body work will be as good as yours...really, I mean that! Yours is great! Patrick

So I'm test fitting the intakes and then I tried the airbox and of course there was need to adjust stuff and peek-a-boo: . Here is the rough draft with the "donor kit"- an OOB Iggle

Lookin' good. I know what you went through with the air box fit! You visualize a perfect fit and BAM! reality set in. A bit frustrating at times, but we work through it with a tad more effort. Your effort is paying off.

Thanks for the UK and States 330/2 photos, Some of them I remember from Motor Sport magazine and some I remember that I should have taken a photo of the car at Laguna( the Alan Grant #74 for example!!).
How is the project going Dan? Looks even better each time I see it! Mine needs thicker sheet plastic; I used too thin of stock and wasn't strong enough.
