the reason i never finished an 83 is that it is without a doubt, the most difficult of the 50 plus indy cars ive done. i think calvin might agree that achelving any resemblance of symetry is difficult with this one. ive thrown my 83 aside many times over the years. gary doucette gave me my current unfinished 83 master after feeling the same frustration. ive been hitting ims the last few weeks to look at the 52 and 91..ive also seen the 83 and know that seeing this in person removes alot of doubt and confusion that comes from working w pictures. a couple thoughts are that the 2 rollbar mounts are not paralell, but in fact taper together from a top view. also, slightly noticeable in daves pisc is that the engine cover almost appears to 'round off' toward the end..

Here's something you might want to check. The front suspension in the photos is a lot like the Wildcat you did, with individual rods But if you look at the drawing Lance posted it a one piece upper arm like the PC-6 75 eagle . K.G. Models of the 83 March had the right front suspension If you look at the 83 Hungess Yearbook all the 83 March's are like the drawing. Sneva's back-up car a Theodore had the individual rods. So What car is Really in the Museum, It might be the March with late season Front suspension Hope this helps Old Photos

I've actually been working on making the arms. Even the side pods are different from left to right the left pod is larger hight wise in the front. Plus the radiator exits are different also... The I500 car had the same pods on both sides. Just like the Wildcat the 83 March is not totally accurate of the Indy 500 winning car.
