Ok, it's close enough to be done... It has been fun, frustrating, nerve racking, exciting, disappointing, and satisfying. I hope you all enjoyed it. I enjoy watching your projects. Patrick Oh, yes, now where's the NNL/West? Well, my friend, that just ain't possible............... To go from that blue/yellow toy to this model. Don't know what to say, except GOOD LUCK! Mongo

I am blown away. The fellow Philippe De Lespany that owns the real car is the person responsible for most of the Heller formula car models that were made and most of the sports cars as well. I never knew that and these models have been so important in my modeling career. that is like all the Indy models from AMT were designed (correctly)by the same person.

Awsome job Patric!!! I could have swarn that there was another post about The 61/2 Cooper of Sir Jack with a v8. Now I am not getting the earlier pics that Patrick posted. Anyway here are some photos to drive you detail freaks nuts! I got to see Sir Jack at Laguna Seca driving the car he won the world championship in. He kept up there in 1st and 2nd through most of the race and finished 2nd I believe. Of course he was in his 80s then. Enjoy. John

Nice shots! I saw Black Jack, too, at Laguna for the autograph session. He was typical "Black" Jack...no smiles, just grim determination! LOL I now have 3 of his Indy cars, a F2, a F3, 3 Brabham F1s, and 2 of his Cooper F1s. Next to John Surtees, he's one of my favorite driver/constructors.
Thanks for the photos.

Well, lads, the photos are somewhat restored and I would again like to thank you all for your encouragement and help with this favorite project of mine. This was a true community effort because of you guys on this forum. I know that Black Jack would love it! I do!! If I can help at all please let me know. It's been fun looking over the WIP again. Thanks, Patrick

It's been fun looking over the WIP again. Thanks, Patrick Who knew that when I asked the question I could be offered such an amazing response. I decided to buy the FPP version of the 51 and I will have to decide whether or not to try to convert it to Indy specs. Your work and imagination on this is wonderful to see. Thank you. pbh

Received both the Cooper and the Gurney Porsche from FPP today. Both of them are very nice looking kits. Not quite up to Lance's standards, but very high quality all the same. I've always thought these were from the most beautiful F1 period. No wings, no airfoils, just little bullets. If I ran the world, that's what F1 and Indy would always be.
