Patrick,
This is really getting to be good! I'm running into the same type of situation with a '15 Mercedes. Adding just that little bit more..... I was hoping to make a mold for this (Cooper) for others to enjoy too.

I think I may have stated earlier that there are 2 views on the color matter. The owner of the car now states that it was a very dark blue-green (and showed me photos to prove it) or the group, ex-mechanics, that say the Cooper was Cooper BRG (eye witness accounts). Since I have 4 different Cooper open wheel cars now I'll stay with the BRG. What kind, you ask...I think it's a black primer coat with a Hunter Green hardware store can.

Hi Pat, Thanks, I now remember you saying something on the phone about the color. Seems to be a picture problem of some kind. Several are not showing.............. Did you get my email about the pictures not coming through of the 250 GTOs? I got the header picture, but nothing else. Thanks, again! Mongo

Well, after a crash building program of GTOs during the rains, I finally got the Cooper painted, the chassis fitted, and petrol tanks foil covered here's how the project looks so far... and ...remember I started with this... so far the front suspension fits well and I expect to have some problems with the rear. Well, two GTOs down and two to go with a Cooper chaser! Patrick

Looks fantastic. Can't wait to see the finished product. My only complaint is that it wasn't cast, but oh well... it's not like I don't have 400 other kits I could do, lol. Nic

Nic,
Ya never know...I do have one more Cooper to prepare. When I get to that one maybe I can get it to you. It will be a F1 version but the only difference would be the left fuel tank.
Thank you all for the kind words, especially the "chicken salad" remark...mucho funny! ;D

When kit-bashing/scratch building (scratch-bashing?) adjustments always have to be made. I was sure the front suspension was correct, but, alas, twas not to be. Last night I tried a dry fitting of the front wheels and then it was all too obvious that the track was too large. SO, a little cut here, a little glue there and perfecto! It looks so much better. Now that the engine is complete I can start to fit the rear suspension. Patrick

Ok, it's close enough to be done... It has been fun, frustrating, nerve racking, exciting, disappointing, and satisfying. I hope you all enjoyed it. I enjoy watching your projects. Patrick Oh, yes, now where's the NNL/West?
