I guess I should've quoted what Rick said.

Here is some more shots of the new kit. Looking great! I talked to Rick on the phone the other day and they are working on some neat stuff that they will eventually announce and the pre orders are selling very well, which is no surprise.

I have 6 unbuilt Tamiya 1/20 Lola's. 1/20 was never my preferred scale. Maybe someday I'll get around to them. I was stoked when I heard the news and then unstoked upon hearing the news of the new ones being 1/20. Like others I had anticipated buying a case, I ended up pre ordering 3.

I have the Salvino's 3d prototype in my hands. It's nice. Can't post photos - since it's a prototype, but I am personally pleased with it. All I will say is that if you aren't pleased with it, there's no point in trying to please you. This WILL be the best injection Indy car kit ever produced. Since it's built I can't say anything about how well it goes together, but I was able to remove some of the body panels and they go together well. For the most part it looks like the prototype images in this thread.

Very nice. I wonder if they would do any of the older cars?

Very nice. I wonder if they would do any of the older cars? They are doing ALL the Lotus Indy cars, but they will be multimedia resin kits (1/20 scale). They are getting full cooperation from Classic Team Lotus. There might be some other surprises down the road.

In the December FB live (just after Christmas) they said the 1965 winning Lotus 38 is in progress, so starting with the biggest Lotus for 500 fans.

This list DOES include DNQ cars... (but not the 80s car since it never actually turned any laps)

And just to clarify, AFAIK it is just the Lotus 'entered' cars. I don't know if they are doing Foyt/Marshman, but they are doing Clarks Lotus 34. Keep in mind Salvino's dad was Ralph Salvino who was Andy Granatellis right-hand man at STP, and with that comes a strong Team Lotus connection.

Maybe we will see some Granatelli cars too.

Just FYI, these depictions are how the Shell car will be molded. Red monocoque/engine cover/wings and white side pods. Just pointing that out so there are no surprises.

I’m retiring in one week and have amassed a kit collection good enough for several retirements. I didn’t think I could be happier about a new kit than I was with Salvinos new Indycar. But a Lotus 34? Salvinos may have made most of my collection obsolete.

Clay Kemp posted his build of the upcoming Salvinos JR IndyCar kit. The test shots were done in translucent plastic but the production kit should be in a solid color, from what I understand. Clay's build is very nicely done to his standards and the build goes through all of the assembly, some of the decaling, and a bit of the painting.
The kit looks well engineered and thought out. Will build into great replicas.
Cannot wait to see what the members here will build from this kit. I think full c/f on all unpainted pieces would look really sharp!
