Years ago Tamiya TS36 was a decent fluorescent red, then it turned into something else that resembled just red. Does anyone know if they ever fixed it back to it's original color? Asking for a friend that only uses rattle cans. Thanks John

At this moment a difficult question to answer. My local hobby shops have not been able to restock Tamiya paints in quite some time. I presume that’s the same throughout the USA.

I have been ordering from scalehobbist.com for quite a while, no one in my little town carries Tamiya, their price is usually low and shipping is reasonable and fast. That said they seem to have a very good stock of Tamiya Spray paints including TS-36 . Very rarely are they out of colors I use. I recommend them by far for Us Rattle can supporters! Chris

It was never good. But it was the only dayglo red that came in gloss as opposed to flat. It was inconsistent as hell. Some cans worked fine, some didn't work at all. I've literally had brand new cans that came out looking like TS49. You never knew what you got until you tried, and frankly even when it worked, I don't think the color holds up well with time. I will never use it again. Mr. Color Fluorescent red is my go to and it's available in semi-gloss.

Although I'm quite sure that Mr Color paints are excellent, they're not much use to those of us who don't care for the airbrush technique.
Krylon make a nice flourescent red spay paint, I would suggest testing your clear of choice before overcoating, some react, some don't.
Tamiya paints were in short supply north of the border for a while, but now everybody has full shelves. I'm sure if we got them then the USA won't be far behind.. If not, these guys will ship to the US as far as I know
cheers

They do show they ship to US address' I dont know what the costs are because they have to go ground, no sprays are shipped by air at least not at regular costs, some will ship air but will add on additional handling charges to wrap and protect the spray from having a airborne accident... Chris
