I bought this at the Memorabilia Show at IMS a couple years ago. It was built, unpainted, but mostly complete.... cost me $40! I took it apart and have been rebuilding it. I had to make a few concessions, but nothing too bad.  I stripped off all the chrome and repainted the chassis aluminum:  It was painted Tamiya TS-36 Fluorescent Red over white:  And of course I dropped it while it was drying:  Pretty sure I can fix it, but one the hinges on the air brake is completely gone. |

Looks like its OK , Nice job on The STP Red paint.. This a kit I wish they would re-issue I am sure MPC didn't destroy the molds or hopefully didn't Lose . It certainly would be a BIG seller for them, Keep it up I am sure it will come out nice. Chris

Another one to add to the case:  Had to make a few concessions as it was a glue bomb... couple parts missing. Scratch built the push bar in the back, but had no idea what the heat shield looked like. Used Indycals decals. They go on nice, but I don't think they like Solvaset that much. The number decal on the nose started to crack. The wheels should be magnesium, but I couldn't find any. |

Nicely done, even with the "drop"! Just an FYI, a good magnesium mix is Testors Flat Steel with a little gold added in.
