Wee here we are again Although my masking wasn’t bad I’m overall unhappy with the job. I didn’t prep the body sufficiently. When it dries, I will take it back down and sand and polish more betterer. There are no shortcuts in this racket. . . It does look sorta cool though 🤔 (From a distance)

It looks exceptional from my house. This build has been a fun one to follow. Look forward to seeing it more betterer. Lol

Very impressive. You just keep working away at that body and it keeps getting better and better, and better.

Unfortunately the closeup shots show two issues. The decal film has a slight raised edge that shows more than I like. And the clear coat (Future Floor Finish) I brushed on apparently had thickened and left some streaks. So of course I arranged the photo layout for maximum unflattering reflections!

And yes the whitewalls! 😖 I’ve been going to paint them since the beginning. That’s good intentions for ya!

On night shift at the mo. Always find the time to have a quick look at the forum.
All the contractors booked in are giving me a funny look. Must look odd from outside my control room window, but I actually stood up and applauded this one. Really did. Mega work. Love it.

You did a really good job on it. I appreciate all the extra work done to put in the panels and rivets, it really makes the monster really look like the 1:1. Congrats on sticking with it, it turned out really great! Thank you for the WIP pictures, too. Would have been hard to understand all you did without them.

Dan: And she slides past the finish line! Very nice! Yes: Gary and Michael have spoiled us with the thinness of their decals…as for Future, which I used for years, I have changed to Mr Color Clear…IMO, it is better than Future, Testor’s and Tamiya… You and I love these “odd ducks.” By that I mean not that successful on the track, but stuck in our memories forever…LeMonstre, 62 M/T Gurney car, Novi from any year, 55 Bugatti etc… Keep it up! Thanks guys. Quack, quack, Tim. Yes I’m enjoying filling the displays with all sorts of iron. I’m not adding the personalities that you come up with. That’s a gift.
Is the Mr Color airbrush or can I apply it with hairy stick?

Didn't you make a Brabham BT45 from sheet plastic? This project is killer. Keep at it!
