It would be nice if between the two of you. May be some one or both could do the 50s and 60s Novis as Lance won't re release any of them and if he did we would most likely all die of old age before they came out. Also the 63 M/T roller skates.

I have never seen a correct Lotus 29 or a Lotus 34 of any type.

Both of the Lotus 29 kits are incorrect in many ways. From what I have measured from Bob Clindist's drawing of the Pure fire Bird car. The AMT  upper body is about 1/8 of an inch to narrow and the nose is way to short. The tub measures the correct over all width but it curves in at the top.

This is why the upper body is to narrow and makes the cockpit and wind screen look like a joke.

Cut the nose off the upper body about 2.25 inches from the front of the cockpit opening. Save the piece you removed you will have to make it a little longer. The section you make will have to taper to match the tub modification in the next step. The piece to be added to the body needs to be about .273 long and matched to the body and the nose with the body mods in the next section.

Now cut the rear part of the upper body if Half down the center line, then add a 1/8 inch strip to the center and glue the two sections together. The upper body will be about the correct width add the modified nose to the rear body and with a bit of filling and sanding the upper body will look about right. The cockpit may still need a little more work to widen it a little more.

Now for the tub . As I said earlier the top of the tub curves in. To correct this cut about half way through the tub from the outside on a line from the upper side of the engine bay to the top of the front bulkhead. Bend the top section of the tub out to match the upper body. Re glue and fill the slit on the tub and see whit looks like. Properly done and filled you can just barley see any curve it the tub.

With a little filling and fitting you can use most  or may be all the rect of the parts of the kit except the tires. Get some of the 64  tires as replacements.

I haven't given up on the idea of doing a Lotus 34 as I've tried in the past but failed. I now know how I'd do it. I have no idea when it comes the Novi's....I get so many requests every single day on what models I should do that I its hard for me to say what I'll do next. It comes down to popularity and my own knowledge is what I produce and also if I'm interested as if I'm not interested then it's very painful to try building something that may take 4 months to develop. The bad thing about the resin business is its hard to leverage time in an efficient way.

Calvin I know what you mean about the time and how to do something. As far as how to do something like a Lotus 34 or a Lotus 29 or any others get the drawings from Walt if he will talk to you. Then stare cutting or try my idea on the lotus 29 body and if it looks correct you may have another product. The suspension parts all look good and I don't think they will need to be modified. Then look at the finished product and see if it could be modified to a Lotus 34.

Good luck with Walt he doesn't seem like he wants to talk to me for some reason.

Eagle 36 The nose from the Lotus 29 up date might help, but it does not help with the main problem with the width of the entire upper body.

Look at the cockpit it is so narrow that if it was scaled up I don't think a human could fit in and if he could and tried to turn his head his helmet would hit the sides.

My ideas and what research I've done would help to make the car look like it should. I did not mention the engine cover as I have not worked that out yet. Maybe some parts of the ford engine covers from the Olsonite Eagle could be modified and used.

When and if I ever get the lotus 29 finished I'll post it and we can all see if my ideas work.
