The kit box shows the Stewart 003 car, but it comes with a one-piece body: I've removed the rear wing section and have started scratching a new wing. I know the wing had 2 rear braces off the transaxle, but does anyone know how was the front was mounted? A photo maybe? Thanks

I'll check my Tamiya 1/12 instructions, they have photos of the real car. Maybe one will show that area.

Here is the link to the Paper version of the kit. The instruction sheet gives a bit of detail in this area tinyurl.com/lzvbr2I have a copy of this kit also, so I'll be watching your build with a lot of interest! RussD

Thx Russ, the more info I have the better.
Hey Brian... Can you scan the part of the instructions that have the wing mounts in them? That may help me as well.

OK, here goes: First pic shows the front wing bracket, Part E33. 2nd pic shows wing mounting brackets under front of wing and rear braces to transaxle that you mentioned. Hope this helps! Brian

Hi Indydog. What's the scale, 1/25, 1/24 or 1/12?

The box says 1/25, but the generic decal sheet says 1/28.

This plastic kit is a repop of Polytoy/Polystil's dicast model in 1/25. I don't think 1/28 is correct. I, too have the car (nearly complete) as Eddie Kazan's Sud Afrika GP Luckie Strikes car. I used a spare Cosworth(1/24) from Heller and it looks just fine with the body. What tire set are you using for your project? I used a combination of fronts from an MPC Eagle Mk5 and rears from the spares box(unknown source).

I haven't gotten as far as the tires yet Patrick, but I was leaning toward useing tires outta one of the AMT kits.

The tires are treaded, not slicks. When i get home I'll post some pix of my Tyrrell. I used the wing from a dead Tilt Tyrrell.

I realized I never posted the photos of the Tyrrell that I entered at this years NNL/West. Does anyone have photos of my models at this get-to-gether? My camera was stolden the day before the event. Here should be the completed model at the show. Patrick
