Great job. I had tried doing the very same car about 2 years ago. Thats when I learned about transparent paint and always having a consistent base coat before starting the Flo-red. You do a fantastic job on the paint.

Very Cool! That one's on my list of cars to build some day.
Did you use a photo-etched stencil to do the Goodyear logos on the tires? I'm an airplane guy and cars are still new to me. ;D
Thanks!

Macsparty- Thank you. The base is an old AMT "racetrack" display case that I cut up.
Benb- I used a Yoshida tire stencil. It's not scaled to the AMT tires so I had to play with the placement a little. If the lettering was too far off, I wiped it off with some laquer thinner and shot it again until it was where it needed to be.

Absolutely perfect, just as I knew it would be. Your standards are high and you met them with this build. I really like the engine/rear wing support combo. It looks factory-made. The other thing I like is how you blended the body line on the side pod and you didn't run into the same problem of separation that sometimes happens on those Lola kits. Was there much trouble in putting the cockpit in after that step? You just may have spawned a few of us to do this or the other Granatelli car that is on the decal sheet (Guerrero).

The cockpit slid right in no problem. There is a little material that needs to be removed on the inside of the body in addition to the portions I removed that are visible in the "WIP" photos. What, no Sneva car? Russ- Thank you as well. Build that "winged" car. Do it! ;D
