Looking for some glue bombs for upcoming projects with the Tamiya 956 and 962
I need to do some cutting and sawing and really dont want to sacrifice an expensive new kit.
Thanks

The glue bombs would be going towards developing a new line of kits for Classic Racing Resin! 956 Short Tail conversion for the Tamiya and 962 Long Tail conversion for the Tamiya also a fix for the inaccurate door on the Tamiya 962 I know this Tamiya 956/962 subject is sometimes a bit of a nit-picky topic with different noses and wheelbases and on, and on, and on.... but this will be a "starting point conversion kit" that will be reasonably priced. I will also do a "Live" WIP of my development of these kits so you can see how much your glue bombs helped and went towards the good and health of the model building hobby! I actually have a R&D team right now doing research as we speak on this subject. Plus it will be interesting to watch!

Secret is out. I'm under contract with Classic Racing Resin to do the R&D work on a conversion for the Tamiya 956 and 962. I can’t disclose the terms, but I don’t think that my added earnings will affect my Social Security at all. Studio 27 did transkits for the Tamiya models many years ago. When you can find them, the price is very high, and because of that, I started looking at what could be done at a much more affordable price. After a lot of measuring I decided that the short tail engine cover of the little loved Tamiya 962 would indeed fit on the very nice Tamiya 956. I started with removing the engine cover from the 962. I mainly used the back of a #11 blade for scribing through the engine cover panel lines and with a little added help of a thin saw blade. Overall, I’ve very happy with the results so far. In this first photo is the 962 short tail being test fitted to the 956. And in this photo is the 962 with the 956 long tail. More to come. Paul Erlendson

Despite the bad doors on the 962, there is some really nice detail in that kit that would have been nice to have in the 956.

Hey, it may be built, but at least it's unpainted! If you overpaid, I don't think you overpaid by much.
